Strain 101 - DPO

Speaker 1 (00:00)
Welcome agents to strain 101 dash DPO of the zero point report. The number one broadcast all about the news surrounding the secret world IP. Today is Thursday, April 17th, 2025 and with me tonight we have two ton waffle.

Speaker 3 (00:17)
Where?

Speaker 1 (00:18)
That sounds amazing. Two blocks, a two ton waffle? It does. They're getting so expensive though. And Jimmy the Rabbit! and a puppy!

Speaker 3 (00:18)
To be

Speaker 2 (00:29)
And a puppy!

Speaker 1 (00:30)
and a puppy friend.

It's a puppy. It's a puppy. Getting bigger.

Or at least from the last time, maybe I saw them on your stream.

little bigger

Speaker 2 (00:37)
bowl.

Speaker 1 (00:38)
So yes, welcome, welcome. We have plenty of news, because it's been a while. It's been a hot minute.

Yeah, our previous show, because it's been a heck of a sickness filled time period, end of winter, beginning of spring. The previous show that we had was, get this, February 20th.

It happens. It does.

Speaker 2 (01:03)
We made it before the cutoff, two months, thank you.

Speaker 1 (01:06)
That's right. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:07)
We would have had one earlier this month. technical issues with internet.

Speaker 1 (01:13)
Right, yeah.

For me, it's usually sickness. I think one time we had like a giant storm passing through and I was like, no.

But for me, it's usually sickness. But as I always say, I get sort of like tag teamed by my son and my wife because he's in first grade. know it didn't sound right. Phrasing? He is in first grade.

Speaker 3 (01:33)
I

you

Speaker 1 (01:38)
Yeah.

Anyway, he's in first grade and my wife is an elementary school teacher. so, you know, elementary schools are just germ factories. That's all they really do. And so I, you know, she brings home stuff to me and he brings home stuff to me and it's just, I catch everything.

Speaker 3 (01:59)
It's a sharing it and caring philosophy.

Speaker 1 (02:01)
Hi Bomber! Sharing. So he was sick earlier in the week and I was like, of course, of course.

I was like, how much you want to But thankfully the cold I had was just mostly last night and yesterday. So I still have a cough. I still have a, a raw, know, a stuffy head, but otherwise good to go.

Speaker 3 (02:20)
of army sure heard of where we started.

Speaker 1 (02:24)
What's that?

Speaker 3 (02:26)
says you still sound pretty congested I told live

Speaker 1 (02:29)
Yeah, my my

my register is a little little lower than it would be normally.

Speaker 2 (02:37)
instead hurting him before he found the mute button.

Speaker 1 (02:39)
That's right. no, my cough sound terrible. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:43)
That was an old man coughing up a lung.

Speaker 1 (02:44)
Yeah.

Don't get lung damage kids. not good for you.

Speaker 2 (02:48)
Yeah

Speaker 3 (02:49)
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:50)
Yeah, I'm not denying it.

I was just saying how I started up streaming on Tuesday again. did like a test stream, just trying to see like, you know, if I could still do it, if I could still keep it up and, know, my voice would hold out and also trying all the stuff and like, you know, all the OBS stuff and all of this stuff and all of that stuff.

Speaker 3 (03:10)
It's like riding a bike.

Speaker 1 (03:11)
And yeah, no, it went it went okay. It went went it went just fine.

But...

Yeah, I got like immediately sick like right afterwards.

Speaker 3 (03:17)
you

Speaker 1 (03:18)
So yeah, now I have a nice mute button so you don't have to hear the coughs.

Speaker 3 (03:22)
What's all part of the show? It gets a full immersion.

Speaker 1 (03:26)
That's

right. It's like you're standing next to a tuberculosis patient.

Speaker 3 (03:33)
Without any of the ill effects.

Speaker 1 (03:37)
That's right.

I'll say hold on, hold on one moment.

Also periodically just be blowing the heck out of my nose. So, you know, that happens.

It's all good. lot of news has transpired since the last time we talked. Let's get right into it. Vomr, how you doing? Vomr is joining us. Anyone else in chat with us right now? No? If you're watching, go ahead and join us. Always good. Always good to see people in chat and talking and... What's that?

Speaker 3 (04:01)
or call out.

Speaker 1 (04:02)
I don't call that lurker.

You wanna, cause you know why? I'm a lurker. I am a known terrible lurker.

Speaker 3 (04:08)
Let's see, got Commander Root.

Speaker 1 (04:10)
Got a moobot. Stream elements is in there. You can call them out.

That's fine.

But, but yeah. So, secret world news, first and foremost, because it is the most important thing. The envoys of Avalon came and went. They arrived March 17th. Well, the login reward started on March 17th anyway. Envoys arrived on March 19th, and then it went through March 30th. Like clockwork. Well, clockwork except a days off.

Speaker 3 (04:37)
Now a broken clock is right two times a day.

Speaker 1 (04:41)
That's great.

I don't need, here's the thing is I don't have any mention of them being late in any previous years though.

Speaker 2 (04:47)
No, they were late. What you talking about? They've been late for like many years.

Speaker 1 (04:54)
Well, they've been late during the... I have things of them being late for the autumnal equinox multiple times going back to 2021.

I'm fairly certain the other night's worse.

Speaker 2 (05:06)
I'm fairly certain none of the events that are supposedly auto scheduled are actually ever auto scheduled.

Speaker 1 (05:12)
Right. They're created this auto scheduler and it never, never works.

Speaker 2 (05:16)
I don't think it's worked like one time.

Speaker 1 (05:19)
I was like, but yet, yet the spring equinox.

the spring equinox I have as usually being like relatively okay.

So I don't know if this is the first spring equinox that's been off the rails, at least for the difference, but who knows? It's usually the autumnal equinox, so.

Okay. So then I just didn't mark that one down.

Speaker 2 (05:37)
Alright.

Speaker 3 (05:40)
We can blame an un-illness.

Speaker 1 (05:41)
Leave it on my notes.

Speaker 2 (05:42)
Blame it on the rain.

Speaker 1 (05:44)
Good. Could always blame it on the rain.

Speaker 3 (05:46)
What?

Speaker 1 (05:47)
But yeah, they take their time getting here, but they did eventually get here. For the, which one is this spring? One, two, three, four.

Speaker 3 (05:56)
Fifth.

Speaker 1 (05:56)
Yeah the fifth time that the envoys have come around.

during the spring, which is interesting because it has only been around for five years. So right, the first time it happened, they would have hopefully just been on time and then every other subsequent time.

Speaker 3 (06:13)
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:15)
Maybe they've been late.

Speaker 2 (06:16)
yeah.

Speaker 1 (06:17)
Because the Envoy started in 2020.

so yeah, this was the fifth anniversary. No, six, the sixth anniversary of the spring envoys.

They are huge.

Speaker 3 (06:26)
Remember kids.

Speaker 2 (06:27)
That's what he said.

Speaker 3 (06:28)
And your vegetables and you get as tall as I am.

Speaker 2 (06:31)
what is the line with Lilith? Like, she's as tall as the...

something or she's as big as the sun I remember I just did that not long ago well what's funny is like Ocho's Ocho's like literally between Waffle's legs phrasing like if you look down god

Speaker 3 (06:48)
You

Speaker 1 (06:53)
we got

it. I almost got it synced up fairly well. At least on my screen.

Speaker 3 (06:59)
You

Speaker 2 (07:00)
So, you know, we're accomplishing all the sizes, right?

Speaker 3 (07:05)
Small, medium, and large.

Speaker 2 (07:06)
You know?

Speaker 3 (07:07)
Just think of it as a movie popcorn bucket size.

Speaker 2 (07:10)
It's a Goldilocks situation. So I'm the one in the middle, just right.

Speaker 1 (07:15)
He's just right.

Speaker 3 (07:18)
This one is too small.

Speaker 2 (07:19)
And damn, that's a big bitch.

Speaker 3 (07:22)
lord, you're coming!

Speaker 1 (07:23)
Lady Dimitrescu.

Speaker 2 (07:24)
I was quoting Deuce Bigalow Manseek.

Speaker 1 (07:26)
You

Speaker 2 (07:27)
for those old enough to actually get that quote.

Speaker 3 (07:30)
old 90s and 2000s movies.

Speaker 1 (07:33)
Remember the movie.

Speaker 2 (07:34)
Remember like he takes out the really tall chick like her her head is off-screen like like she's just a fucking giant Whenever they go out somewhere people are always just like yelling shit

Speaker 1 (07:47)
Damn, that's a big big...

Speaker 2 (07:49)
Okay, I'll you tomorrow.

Speaker 1 (07:50)
It reminds me, have you guys seen the Dungeons and Dragons movie?

Speaker 3 (07:54)
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (07:55)
Yes. Yeah, there's a pretty funny scene in that.

that reminds me of that where like the, she's like, I need to go visit like, you know.

My my spouse or like, know, My previous lover. Yeah. And he goes back and it's like this like halfling to this like, really tall barbarian woman. And then. And it's like, OK, that was funny enough. And then like halfway through is sort of like this other lady comes out and she's like, how are doing? She comes out. She's also this like really tall, like barbarian mom. It's like, OK, that got me.

Speaker 3 (08:07)
is that

You

Speaker 2 (08:29)
A wing show? What's your true colors?

Speaker 1 (08:32)
Mine's blue.

Speaker 3 (08:33)
I forget what we're doing.

Speaker 2 (08:35)
I mean, I expect waffle to have waffled and therefore have blue wings.

Speaker 3 (08:39)
We'll see.

Speaker 1 (08:41)
I got blue.

Speaker 2 (08:41)
I've got gold.

Speaker 1 (08:42)
Is blue where you... You have black wings, Waffle just...

Speaker 2 (08:45)
Blackwings, dude.

Speaker 1 (08:48)
Is blue like the middle choice?

Speaker 2 (08:51)
Blue means you didn't pick entirely one side.

Speaker 1 (08:56)
guy. Yeah, I guess I didn't. I don't know how. Usually I thought I did, but...

Speaker 3 (09:02)
I'm just a void.

Speaker 1 (09:03)
a lot of people

Speaker 2 (09:04)
pick

up the gift by accident because I don't realize what that is

So I worshiped the bird instead of attacking it, or you broke the prison instead of repairing it.

Speaker 1 (09:15)
Which I thought I didn't do. Yeah, no, I don't know why I have blue. Maybe I wanted blue, so I picked up the...

Speaker 2 (09:21)
It is possible to like, like you could have broken the person by accident. just have maybe damaging ability in the vicinity, right? Like, so maybe you broke it back.

Speaker 1 (09:32)
It could be. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:33)
Just a little whoopsie doopsie.

Speaker 1 (09:34)
if I do.

Speaker 2 (09:35)
No, I got, I have gold. Gold on Jimmy.

I see a little blue wings.

Speaker 1 (09:39)
Yeah,

I love how the ability is still the same size. And I'm just doing this like...

Speaker 3 (09:46)
You

Speaker 1 (09:47)
So not only do we represent all three of the factions between us, we also represent all the different wing colors as well. Interesting.

Speaker 2 (09:53)
Yeah, we're, you know.

Speaker 1 (09:55)
We're a diverse, we're a diverse bunch.

Speaker 3 (09:58)
remote wing group

Speaker 2 (09:59)
cover all the bases.

Speaker 1 (10:00)
But how you doing armored scooter and smoke Santa? Hope you hope you're doing well. Just came back to the game after two years and your guides helped me so much.

Nice. Nice. Yes. TSWDB. TSWDB.com. The official sponsor, but they don't give us any money. Not sponsored. Yeah, really not sponsored.

Speaker 2 (10:19)
sponsored.

Speaker 1 (10:22)
Yeah, it's of a zero point report. The unofficial official sponsor.

Speaker 3 (10:27)
TSWDB.com

Speaker 1 (10:32)
Doing well, just vibing on Knoxville. About to swap back to Mixi and bang out some more missing achievements. Nice.

Always good.

Even I still have some achievements I still need to get. But I'm...

Speaker 2 (10:42)
still missing the E17 Darkness War achievement because...

Speaker 1 (10:45)
I say, I'm the worst.

Speaker 3 (10:48)
I'm the worst.

Speaker 2 (10:49)
No, I agree Waffle's the worst.

Speaker 1 (10:50)
yeah. All right. You got me there.

Speaker 3 (10:52)
You

Speaker 1 (10:52)
Anyway, there's been a lot of news. We have... ah, ad block, go away.

Speaker 2 (10:57)
Good noo-

Speaker 1 (10:58)
other

secret world news and Jimmy pointed me out to this one. Chemish on the forums had quite possibly one of the largest giveaways and largest events and largest giveaways that that secret world has ever seen.

Speaker 2 (13:30)
Well Scooter said you guys go silent. I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (13:33)
Yeah, no, I don't think so.

Speaker 2 (13:34)
think the.

That's the dots on your equipment.

indicates the

Speaker 1 (13:38)
They just have marked as two IV weapon imbewers. So I was like, oh, I think it's just the four pip weapon imbewers. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (13:43)
to mark for weapon in viewers.

Speaker 1 (13:46)
Then catalysts. These provide bonus experience and should be used with four other XP distillates of the appropriate type. Just a whole bunch. Not going to go over those. Just a whole bunch. Shocking steps, sprints, gatekeepers touch sprint, a number of agents for the agent system.

Speaker 3 (14:31)
Here's...

Speaker 1 (14:32)
And then...

Speaker 2 (14:34)
And then...

Speaker 1 (14:35)
And then in order to slottle the signets I'll help run some mega bosses and regional raids so that you can rank up your signets.

Yeah. Like, have we had a bigger giveaway than this?

Like maybe for like a physical item?

Speaker 2 (14:45)
know Agneta did a really big one, what, a year ago or something? Like when he did like the Mega Boss Marathon?

Speaker 1 (14:54)
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (14:55)
I don't think it was as big. And also I think it was spread amongst a lot more people. Just as far as the amount like a single person can walk away with is kind of insane.

Speaker 1 (15:08)
And it did. The winner was Mr. Fry.

Mr. Fry has won all of that.

Speaker 3 (15:14)
Mr. Fry is my father.

Speaker 1 (15:16)
Call me.

Speaker 3 (15:16)
Troy.

Speaker 1 (15:17)
Just call me Jim Fry. I don't know.

I'll be small fry.

So yes, so there will be a live stream on April 20th, 2025. So three days from now. What is that? Saturday? No, Sunday.

So it'll be on Easter Sunday.

Speaker 2 (15:31)
and the megabosses have risen.

Speaker 1 (15:33)
and then fall in. That was good one. Yeah, no, I appreciated that. Mr. Fry's going, shut up and take my money, except it's free.

Speaker 2 (15:34)
was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (15:40)
I'm gonna be trouble with this name. Eliurosa by. Welcome.

After an eight year hiatus, amazing way to be back in the game. Nice.

I was the first runner up, was super excited and I'm grateful. the first runner up. What did you get? Did you get anything for being the first runner up?

Speaker 2 (15:55)
I believe there's some, I don't know exactly how it works, but I was looking at it and like, well they're an IMTSW winner. Nice.

Alright, vommer, you're gonna have to have a talking to if you keep shaking people indiscriminately like that. It's not allowed. It's not allowed!

Speaker 1 (16:13)
Listen, as much as I love this community, I'm really terrible with names.

Speaker 2 (16:18)
As much as he loves his community, he has no idea who any of you people are.

Speaker 1 (16:21)
no idea who anyone is.

Speaker 3 (16:22)
even what to

Speaker 1 (16:23)
So I don't memorize contest winners. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I don't.

Speaker 3 (16:29)
Plus I'm kind of like at a disadvantage right now because I can't get down to your level.

Speaker 1 (16:34)
if you zoom all the way in.

Speaker 3 (16:36)
I am all the way in. Remember, I'm tall.

Speaker 2 (16:38)
He won't let you forget that he's He's like, hey guys, I'm

Speaker 3 (16:43)
Do

Nope, don't move,

Speaker 1 (16:46)
Move.

Speaker 2 (16:47)
The bouncing does not help the view of the shirt.

Speaker 3 (16:49)
There we go.

Speaker 2 (16:51)
Nice.

That's cool.

Speaker 3 (16:53)
What's that in the middle, is that?

Speaker 2 (16:54)
no, I see it, I see it, it's the...

Speaker 3 (16:56)
It's a microphone.

Speaker 2 (16:57)
Yeah, but it's like the... I see the background of like the NPCs.

The audio competition. Got it, got it. Nice.

speaking of shirts, speaking of shirts.

Look at my shirt!

Bombers should recognize this.

I a new shirt. I got a new shirt made.

Speaker 3 (17:12)
All done.

Speaker 2 (17:13)
I you guys can see the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (17:14)
Give me one second.

Speaker 2 (17:15)
we've gone black. We've gone dark. Okay. Let's see.

Speaker 3 (17:18)
There you go.

Speaker 2 (17:19)
Look at how good that turned out.

All right.

Speaker 3 (17:23)
Thanks.

Speaker 2 (17:24)
It turned out way better than even I could have hoped.

it might have been affecting the color a little bit.

That's possible.

But yeah, it just came today. I'm super stoked.

My Akira movie poster inspired Jimmy the Rabbit shirt.

Mikey, you're talking and I can't hear you.

Speaker 1 (17:39)
How about now? Okay, sorry.

Speaker 2 (17:40)
Yes, I hear you.

Since this camera switched off me with the shirt.

So FYI, it's probably been 30 seconds or a minute of...

Speaker 1 (17:50)
That's interesting because I don't remember touching it during that time period. Anyway, hold on, gotta do it again anyway.

Okay.

Speaker 2 (17:58)
You're back. There you are.

Speaker 1 (17:59)
Yes. I was saying that the Twitch channel that they are using is going to be a at twitch.tv slash stream for me.

That's what they listed.

Speaker 2 (18:09)
Yeah, I think so. You're about chemists is all thing. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (18:11)
Yes.

Yes, stream for me to watch live, so...

There you go.

So this whole episode was to show that t-shirt.

Speaker 3 (18:20)
That's right.

Speaker 2 (18:22)
I would just stream if I wanted to show my fucking t-shirt.

Speaker 1 (18:22)
Another thing.

I said Jimmy does have his own channel, yeah.

Speaker 2 (18:27)
I would not have involved everyone else for that.

Speaker 1 (18:30)
Next event is anniversary, what year will it be?

for Legends?

Speaker 2 (18:34)
So 8 plus 5, right?

Speaker 1 (18:38)
Eight. Yeah, it'll be the eighth. The eighth anniversary.

8th anniversary of legends and

Speaker 2 (18:42)
13? Did I math right? It was fine too.

Speaker 1 (18:47)
13.

Speaker 2 (18:47)
Lucky number 13.

Speaker 1 (18:50)
13th year for Secret World, 8th for Legends.

And if anyone's keeping track, which apparently I am...

Speaker 2 (18:55)
Two years.

Speaker 1 (18:56)
I

I this up. That Seeker World Legends has been around longer. I mean, TSW is still up, obviously. from TSW's launch to SWL, was 1800 days. And since then, Seeker World Legends has been around for 2800 days, give or take.

Speaker 2 (19:19)
Suck it too, SW.

Speaker 1 (19:21)
Motherfuckers!

Problem is every time I laugh I cough. Gosh darn it.

Speaker 2 (19:25)
You're like, look, I ate, slept, breathed TSW, okay? I put a goddamn enormous amount of time into TSW.

Speaker 1 (19:36)
We all did, I think. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (19:37)
Like, unhealthy amount, though.

Speaker 1 (19:39)
as opposed to you put into Secret World Legends,

Speaker 2 (19:43)
I mean, honestly, yeah. I- I- Like, I have more time in Legends because it's been around longer, but I have not know-lived Legends as much as I know-lived TSW.

like that that is just a factual statement. But that said, dude, come on, I did the head to head playthrough. went back to CSW. like the legends is just a better version of the game, like period.

Speaker 1 (20:05)
I'll say you've convinced me over the years, yeah, absolutely. It just has more content, it has...

Speaker 2 (20:13)
systems are better.

Speaker 1 (20:15)
Yeah, just the back end is better.

Speaker 2 (20:17)
I

how much of a pain in the ass shit was in TSW until you go back in there and make a new character and like, how do I level my weapon again? What the fuck is this shit? Why am I locked to every zone? You have to rebuy your gear. Start over.

Speaker 1 (20:34)
that like Minecraft desk sort of crafting system. We had to get like the kits and then and then right then everyone's inventory is just right and everyone's inventory is just this massive thing and everyone's inventory was actually bringing down everybody else.

Speaker 2 (20:38)
my god, dude.

Speaker 3 (20:44)
Okay.

Speaker 2 (20:53)
The wheel. Let me buy 15 abilities to get to the one that I want. Cool. Thanks. But I'll never ever use.

Speaker 1 (21:01)
Yeah, so.

Speaker 2 (21:02)
I get annoyed when people fanboy over the wheel too much. So I'm just like, it was an interesting innovation at the time, because no one had ever seen it. But when you play with it for long enough, you realize that, oh, this is not actually good. This is not great.

But it's not. Not. Like, the second coming, like, fucking people like to...

Speaker 1 (21:25)
Right. Like I really think just, it's just nostalgia has just so much to play into it. You know, like people went into, into secret world in 2012. And so this game that had, that was like, it was an MMO, but it was in like a modern setting. And it had like, basically were superheroes, you know, to an effect. Um, so like, you know, we're the superheroes and like Lovecraftian horror and

modern day. Like you didn't see that. Like there was there was nothing really at the time that really played into that, especially in the MMO space.

And so it was so novel and it was so, I don't see necessarily groundbreaking, but it was certainly novel. And, yeah. And people took to it and they loved it. Cause of course we did. And also simultaneously, it was hard. Like you really had to put in some effort. but kind of good or bad because that effort really did drive away some people.

Speaker 2 (22:18)
Yeah.

I mean, I don't really care about that so much, cause you know, whatever. Fuck em. But.

Speaker 1 (22:29)
Like, I remember when they rebalanced Blue Mountain in the original Secret World and people were like, my gosh, it's the, you know, how dare they? How dare they make Blue Mountain not as much of a brick wall?

Speaker 2 (22:43)
Well, I mean, to be fair, did have a pretty massive player retention problem.

Speaker 1 (22:48)
Yeah, they did. Yeah. And mostly they found it happened around Blue Mountain.

So they had all the back end data for that. They knew what was going on.

Speaker 2 (22:56)
Yeah. That was because, and this was, think, honestly a problem in TSW. Like they had interesting mechanics on all those, all those enemies, right? The only way to find out those mechanics and figure out how to deal with them was to just die to them over and over again. Because like you couldn't even see them. It's like, you know what I mean? Like half the time you had to be in combat with the thing and then mouse over the thing while it's killing you to like figure out.

Speaker 1 (22:56)
What? What is that?

Well, like

yeah because it would have like a little pop that's like by the way this is yeah immune to knockback and then every time you imperative

Speaker 2 (23:32)
you're gonna put a dot on yourself and kill yourself so maybe don't cleanse you know I mean like right shit like that like the problem with that stuff is like most like some of the time there was a way to see those ahead of time right where you could like literally you know be at range kind of mouse over the enemy and like see it like assuming you thought to do that but a lot of times shit wasn't even like active until they were in combat like you triggered some

Speaker 1 (23:56)
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (23:57)
And so it was not fun dying to something over and over again when you have no idea why. And then you realize, there's a thing, but I can't see it. So you have to go die and then try and like mouse over quick enough as you're dying to see the thing. I mean, that's what's happening.

Speaker 1 (24:10)
And then,

right. And then after that, you had to basically like change around a whole build or something.

Speaker 2 (24:17)
a build to go deal with it but that's secondary to the fact that like you didn't even know what you were dealing with. And in order to find it out you had to die a bunch of times trying just trying to read it like not because like you even if you knew to look for it you had to like sacrifice yourself many times over to get that split second mouse over before you die and it goes away and be like what does that buff say like that is a way to

Yeah.

Speaker 1 (24:44)
found that really happened in what, like transylvania? like it didn't really happen much before that but once you get transylvania-

Speaker 2 (24:47)
Yeah.

I think a cobb had like some some tactic or something. That's what what made them particularly obnoxious. It's because they had a mechanic that no one was like paying attention to like no one was looking at.

Speaker 1 (25:03)
I think one my first experiences with TSW, my friend had drug me over from SWOTOR in 2013 and I got to level 15 and went for PVP and got squished. See?

Speaker 2 (25:13)
The thing is, the early PvP, you could earn marks by just existing in the zone. You literally got residual white marks initially. So I didn't even PvP that much. I just ground out a whole purple gear by running around, just generating white marks all the time. I generated a full purple PvP set and then went back into PvE, smack and shim with it.

Cause that was easier than like trying to the dungeon to do the purple drops to the dungeons. It was easier to just like grind out the marks for the purple gear for the PVP. And it was like mostly the same as far as like attack rating and stuff like that. like, that's what I did back then, like in the early days. But yeah, like that like.

Even now, I fight, when I go back into TSW, I will forget how different that shit is. Like even as like an end game character, right? Jimmy in T in TSW is like maxed out. I can go into Kaiden on a boat. And if I don't equip the right thing, those things will kill me in like five seconds, which is crazy. But if you don't have the right build for that mechanic, it will fucking insta kill you.

Speaker 1 (26:31)
is even then what is it that like you remember how we had to run the like go to the council of venice and i'm blanking on what that's called like the yeah the scenarios and they were like

Speaker 2 (26:40)
scenario.

Can get the the blue Oreos?

Speaker 1 (26:45)
Right, and they were like, you had to get a certain amount in order to get the thing in order to even go into Kaiden. You know, you had to get like the... And it's sort of like, but if you didn't do that, you actually... Yeah, Kaiden would just mess you up as soon as you walked in. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (26:58)
Give up.

Speaker 1 (27:01)
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:03)
And then on top of that, needed the Aegis. And then that would also screw you up though, because if you had the wrong Aegis one, right, you switch in time, then you also couldn't heal off your hits because your hits weren't hitting. The Aegis chip was its own problem, right? But yeah.

Speaker 1 (27:15)
BANG

The constant switching.

Speaker 2 (27:22)
I think they eventually got it down to like you had only do one scenario to get in Tokyo because people bitch so much.

Speaker 1 (27:27)
But then people got into Tokyo and-

Speaker 2 (27:29)
of scenarios to get into or something. It was like, I needed to like, was like, it was something like if you, if you got like platinum on your scenario, you only needed like, I don't know, 10 scenarios or something like that or 12. I don't remember exactly. Yeah. One Oreo, one Oreo down from 80. It was 80 originally, but like you got more of those things for like the better result. So like if you, if you got like

Speaker 3 (27:49)
you

Speaker 2 (27:57)
You know, max survivors. Unlike a hard difficulty, you could get it. You could get into Tokyo fairly quickly.

Speaker 1 (28:04)
But it was a question of whether you survived that in Tokyo fairly quickly. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:09)
Well, but the thing is you were you were better equipped, right? If you could do those scenarios that quickly, it means you had a decent sorry, Bill. So then you're OK. But if you if you only get like got your one token and then got in there like. Also, you remember like you could get the rogue token or you could pay a like a bunch of packs for the the cheap.

Or like the fake way to get in?

Speaker 1 (28:31)
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (28:33)
Which was a real thing and I believe it's one of those things that they were tracking as well. So like theoretically in the future, like that could have had some impact. Kind like wing choices, like the fact that you got into Tokio. Yeah, like was like a stat that was recorded or something. But also if you did that, like you would just get fucking obliterated into Tokio anyway. You wouldn't know what you're doing.

Speaker 1 (28:45)
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (28:56)
But like, and just to be clear, I like difficult things. I like difficult mechanics. The problem with them is they weren't communicated well, like at all. Right. That was my problem. I remember when the penthouse, you know, mini Aegis Dungeon first came out and we were like throwing ourselves against that. know, me into a blender and like we're just dying to see the buffs and debuffs. Like we're literally just

Not even trying to win the fight, just going in and dying, trying to like read the things. That's just, I don't know, I feel like that's dumb. That's not a-

Speaker 1 (29:34)
It's not necessarily a So Armored says, the best chain quest is Vanishing of Tyler Freeborn. I agree. I love Tyler Freeborn. When that came out, was like, oh my gosh. So good. And right, fact that Legends basically integrates all them into the story. So instead of ending

Egypt with or at least ending.

scorched desert with, the, with the train mission.

Like, it's great cap for it, you know, and then going into Siddhi dasanga and then doing all that. Right, without all that, having to come back.

So it's good, yeah, they integrated everything into that.

Speaker 2 (30:13)
Except for Tyler Freeborn for some reason. Tyler Freeborn's actually not integrated into the Kingsman storyline.

Speaker 1 (30:20)
I mean it's not integrated directly but you can play it at level.

Speaker 2 (30:23)
Yeah, you it's

geared for that level, right? Yeah, that that is way better than you know, because that was also a weird thing in TSW is like you would I remember being in Blue Mountain and like oh, there's this mission and it says it says nightmare difficulty. I'm like, yeah, whatever. I've I've cleared nightmare difficulties before right? And you go in there like you're like, holy shit, and it feels bad because you want to complete what's in the zone in front of you. And then you because it's not it was not intended to be done until after Transylvania.

All like all those DLCs were like, were post-Transylvania.

Speaker 1 (30:59)
Mm-hmm. Or we're supposed to be. Yeah. No, they weren't here you. say...

Speaker 2 (31:03)
Like

Tyler Freeborn didn't come, like you were supposed to have finished.

Speaker 1 (31:08)
You're

supposed to finish Transylvania, yeah, and then gone back.

Speaker 2 (31:10)
And then you went back and revisited the zones with each issue. Right. So six, six was like, revisit Kingsmith with this chain or no, sorry, five. And then, and then six was revisits, you know, Egypt with this chain. then, you know, seven was the, the bond one, you know, revisit Transylvania with this chain. Yeah. They weren't intended to be done until like, after you'd already beaten Transylvania.

Speaker 1 (31:32)
I want to say that I did the train mission in Scorch Desert.

well before I hit Transylvania. And it was just the hardest dang thing. I remember just getting steamrolled time and time again on that one. As I was like, no, I'm gonna do it because it seemed possible. So I'm going to do it.

Speaker 2 (31:41)
Exactly.

Being at level in Blue Mountain and trying Tyler reborn and I actually made it through the chain I think all the way to the last part like though, you know the last mission where you go into the fog and then I took me for fucking ever to get past Andy and sheriff Aderman like Hours, I like could not get past those fuckers Because there was like so many levels above me, right? Yeah, I finally got past them and I think I I try remember I might have got past Norma. I could not

Speaker 1 (32:02)
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (32:20)
I don't think you could get past Hayden Montag. Like I just couldn't. Like it was not possible.

Speaker 1 (32:25)
Okay. So I came back to Tyler Freiborn much later, but yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:29)
See nowadays though, I was to this W, I could totally do it. Cause I would just swim around the level to the back.

Speaker 1 (32:31)
it on metal.

Speaker 3 (32:37)
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:38)
Be like, haha, screw you.

Speaker 1 (32:40)
True, true, that is a way to do it.

Um, so, uh, yeah, besides from the, yeah, the, biggest giveaway, the biggest giveaway ever. Uh.

the ultimate giveaway. Jimmy, you've been going through multiple challenge runs yourself.

You're now going through the zero point Pat challenge run and you finished up Desolation Jones pacifist run.

Speaker 2 (33:04)
Yeah, the second pacifist one. Finally, walking to Akhenaten. Son of a bitch.

Speaker 1 (33:11)
Now, how did the, how did the pacifist run work? Like what were you primarily using and what made it different than your first pacifist run?

Speaker 2 (33:20)
I mean the main thing that made it different is they changed like half the abilities that it used. For example, Immutable doesn't work the same way at all anymore. You just can't use that. And that was a big ability for the first one. Let's see. The first one was a reason for many of the fixes actually.

Speaker 1 (33:37)
I was saying, was the first one before the big rebalance?

Speaker 2 (33:40)
Yes,

this is the whole point of this one. was a pacifist run post rebound. they weren't the part of the reason I'd never tried to do it until now. It wasn't supposed to be possible. Like I had talked to my bell. My path was run was the reason for a bunch of patches. Like a bunch of fixes in the rebound. Because like, for example, the bristling rage reflect passive from hammer didn't actually require you to have a hammer equipped. So I was able to run.

Speaker 1 (33:59)
Right. Okay.

Speaker 2 (34:09)
blood chaos on the first pass was run and get the bristling rage hammer passive doing reflect damage at the same time. Right. And now there's this little line on the passive that says requires a hammer. fairly massive difference is I couldn't I couldn't do chaos and blood and hammer. had to like

Speaker 1 (34:25)
So like, that's a-

Speaker 2 (34:35)
pick one and like lose out on damage from one. But like the other thing is, know, like signature abilities are a thing now, right? That wasn't a thing before. So the hammer signature ability used to be an AOE taunt that did not do damage. So I could use it. No such thing anymore. No such thing as an AOE taunt, which is problematic for like a lot of different reasons.

Speaker 1 (34:45)
Right.

Yep.

Speaker 2 (35:03)
You know, not being able to AOE taunt things is a problem. Without, know, since like, so I would have to.

Speaker 1 (35:09)
I that's pretty standard in most games. Anyway.

Speaker 2 (35:12)
Well so like, I could use the agitator gadget and I could... Because that doesn't do damage, like an aggro A thing, but like couldn't A-wee taunt. Couldn't taunt a whole bunch of things, right? Which is a problem for like defense wave missions, for example. You know? You know like at Edgar's, you gotta like defend the barricades?

So I'm not allowed to use the barrels, because that would do damage.

Speaker 1 (35:37)
Okay.

Speaker 2 (35:38)
I

to somehow get all those waves of drog to attack me and reflect damage, kill themselves, but I don't have an AoE taunt. That's a problem.

Speaker 1 (35:47)
So you have to go to each individual one and be like, your mother sucks, and go to the next one and be like, your dad

Speaker 2 (35:53)
That's

like a 30 second cooldown. Right? I did eventually, as Vomr points out, I did eventually figure out heal threat is a thing. I literally set my heal allocation to like 80 and just started spamming heals on myself and all of they turned around and ran at me. I was like, oh, cool.

Speaker 1 (35:56)
Right here.

Speaker 2 (36:12)
Alright, that works.

Speaker 1 (36:14)
True. Heel aggro.

Speaker 2 (36:17)
So, here's the big thing, right?

The really big thing of why I didn't even try it before now is like, Nervelle and I had talked and he had said, and he intended this to be the case, but there's some loopholes, is that in part of the Rebalance Patch was enemies do not reflect damage. They don't get reflect damage unless you attack them first.

Just kills a pacifist run like dead in the water right like I would have to damage you for you to take reflect damage That just means you can't do that anymore however There's a couple of minor Things that affect that One is he didn't think about heal threat because apparently heal threat actually counts as you activating ability Which isn't damaged, but I guess are targeted by the ability so it counts it as aggroing them and so they'll take reflect they'll take

Speaker 1 (36:45)
Right.

Speaker 2 (37:02)
damage but I think what is what I think what's happening like code wise it's like reading that you targeted up an ability something and so like I don't know

Speaker 1 (37:10)
Even though you're basically healing yourself, basically. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (37:13)
They're

they're being threatened by your heels and somehow that triggers but they the big one the first one I figured out like on my testing on Jimmy Was blood has a passive called shroud of retribution. So blood has like the blood barriers, You like a shield on yourself and the passive says you Your barriers are covered in retributive runes, right? So it makes your barriers stronger and it

and it makes them cause damage to attackers. That's the key word, cause damage. It's not, it's reflect damage technically, but also technically not. Right? Like, because it doesn't say it's reflecting, it says it's causing. It's bunch of runes, but it's literally a technically, it's like you attacked, you attacked the shield and the shield attacks back. So it's that, as soon as one of those would go off, now it,

Speaker 1 (37:56)
causing death.

Speaker 2 (38:10)
Now it counts that that enemy counts as me having attacked it essentially under the hood. now, Bruce Lee Rage will start to work.

The other thing is the Cosmic Pigment Headpiece. Cosmic Pigment Headpiece says you get hit x many times or evade x many times and it does an AOE damage, the Talisman does, right? That's just straight up, it does an AOE of damage around you. So you just stand there and get hit enough times for Cosmic Pigment to go off, it damages them, the enemies say, you damaged me, now they start taking Replic damage from Bristling Rage. Bristling Rage is the most

Speaker 1 (38:30)
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (38:45)
reflect damage you can put out but it's also the one that actually requires that you have attack but there's multiple there's multiple loopholes that weren't figured out

Speaker 1 (38:57)
I was saying LOL and me doing bash them in the face with whatever I could equip runs. Yeah. Jimmy's very inventive about his runs.

Speaker 2 (39:02)
No.

At this point I have to be.

Speaker 3 (39:07)
You

Speaker 1 (39:08)
You've

been doing it for a while. by the way, hey neck bro- neck- neck bromancer. Welcome.

Speaker 2 (39:14)
Necromancer! How's it going, man?

Speaker 1 (39:16)
Hope you're doing well.

Speaker 2 (39:18)
So yeah, essentially the pacifist run was not supposed to be possible anymore, right? Like intentionally so. Told by the developer in the closed beta, right? And a lot of the stuff was neutered for sure.

Speaker 1 (39:34)
They're like, Jimmy is able to everything without actually attacking anything. You're going to be fired.

Speaker 2 (39:42)
You have the Beyond the Veil shirt? you're asking Necromancer.

You can get the shirt if you want it.

Speaker 1 (39:47)
You can. I have the ability to give it

Speaker 2 (39:50)
I think a bunch of us do.

But yeah, so yeah, it was one of those things where like it wasn't supposed to be possible. then, what I had originally thought, Mikey, is I thought like, maybe I'll do like, I'll allow gadgets or something, right? So that I'll have an attack that's not an ability and that will make the passives work. And I did a stream like before I started the run on Jimmy where I was just testing stuff and all of sudden realized, wait a minute, this shit's more doable than I thought.

I was bamboozled. And it's not to say that they didn't try to stop certain things, they did. There's just loopholes in the game around a bunch of it. So a lot of the old stuff still works or works in some fashion. I would say the other big thing though is that straight up a lot of abilities changed. And so I could not use the same tech from the first one.

Speaker 1 (40:29)
Mm-hmm.

Right. Yeah.

Is it still possible to do runs with the initial white weapons you get during the tutorial?

Speaker 2 (40:50)
No, I've been trying to get them out.

Speaker 1 (40:52)
They're for some manually sponsored items on you.

Speaker 2 (40:56)
I have a set, I have a white sword and a white elemental focus on ephemeral. Cause they spawned it on me during my charity stream when I made that character. I think I beat the Udas with Jimmy Mode and just white weapons. Yeah, that's the whole reason for his name. But as far as trying to getting them out of the tutorial, I have not.

been able to achieve that yet. really wanted to. If I could have done that, you'd be seeing me doing that run right now. I tried. I tried all kinds of shit. All kinds of shenanigans. Crafting window shenanigans. TSW crafting window shenanigans.

Did I ever use the hot plate? I don't remember now.

I might need to go try that.

Speaker 1 (41:38)
hot plate? don't think I know that.

Speaker 2 (41:40)
Put stuff in there.

Dante's hot plate in London. you're so like the only time you'll see this is people have said like, I saw someone with a white weapon outside of, the tutorial. No, you didn't. No, I don't think so. I've yet to see someone prove to me that that's happened. What happens is during the tutorial, you go to your home base like zone. Now, the dragon you should never see because it's an alternate version because of the butterfly stuff. It's like a literal separate copy of soul.

But if you're a Lumi or Templar, during the tutorial, you'll go out and walk around in the hub and people can see you. They'll see like a level two character with white weapons. Because you're still in the tutorial, but you're walking around in the hub. But you cannot get out of the, because that's like before you, it's after the first part, but before the subway, right? In between.

And so as a templar, I had thought about trying to shove the items into Dante's hot plate, if it would let me. Dante, hold these weapons for me. But I don't think I tried that. I also don't know if that would actually work.

Speaker 3 (42:37)
It's just...

Speaker 2 (42:45)
tacos. You know you can make a spicy taco? He's in London.

Speaker 1 (42:49)
Right, right, right. Okay.

Speaker 2 (42:50)
Whatever the dark area

Speaker 1 (42:51)
Right, it's by Dante.

Speaker 2 (42:53)
Not through the normal crafting window scooter or through the TSW crafting window, which you can like spawn with the command. Neither one of them will let you take it out.

I've tried a lot of shenanigans I'm not gonna get into for various reasons on stream But like I've tried a lot of shenanigans to them out and nothing has fucking happened. Nothing has worked Now Dante's hotplate is a crafting window, but I I do wonder if since it's like in that area like I don't know I haven't tested I don't know like if you leave and come back if they're still in there or not But I think I didn't get around to trying that

Speaker 1 (43:26)
So

that's good question. Yeah, if you put something in there, will it stay in there?

Speaker 2 (43:31)
It just opens up your crafting window. It doesn't look like your crafting window.

Shenandoah the gains, True and real.

Speaker 1 (43:38)
Sorry, excuse me.

Do you want to talk about the latest shenanigan that you found during the last...

Speaker 2 (43:44)
blowing the pants off the doppelgangers?

Speaker 1 (43:46)
I mean that's fun. Having naked doppelgangers show up. No, shoulder tackle.

Speaker 3 (43:48)
You

Speaker 2 (43:55)
yeah, I think Vomr was there for that one on stream. Shoulder Tackle breaks Akinautin. It can break his final explosion and just stop it. He's just hanging out forever. Which is an interesting interaction I wouldn't have expected.

Speaker 1 (44:18)
Right. It just means it's sort of like he doesn't have anything programmed after that. doesn't have anything.

Speaker 2 (44:25)
can't impair him. Like I tried. can't use like Bishogen gadget or any of that. you know what mean? You can't use normal impairs on him. They don't work. But Shoulder Tackle apparently is a different beast and he's not coded to handle that.

Speaker 1 (44:39)
It just means what, like, tackle is just not considered an impair. It's considered something else.

Speaker 2 (44:46)
him, I believe is the difference, right? it not. But see the knockback is normally like, but Shoshin does knock back, but that doesn't seem to stop like work on him. There's something different about how it works.

Speaker 1 (44:48)
Wow. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (44:59)
It's one of the knockaways. Yeah, but like a-

Speaker 1 (45:01)
He

was so shocked that somebody just body checked him, his brain blue screened. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:06)
Yeah, that one was interesting.

I got some cool pictures of that, because he was just standing there for a while.

With with by the way with like the beam still going to him like the beams got like convulsing tendrils like hanging out He just never exploded

Speaker 1 (45:22)
He was

just like, he's like, nope, I don't know what to do now. Yeah. I'm a, he's like, I'm shocked. I'm in shock. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (45:30)
Like I was saying before the stream, I'm not sure. I mean, I don't think anyone has used shuttle tackle enough or in enough odd scenarios to really discover all of its brokenness. It probably can break other things in the game. I just don't know what.

Well, kind of like, kind of like pacifist, right? Like, reflect. Like, I figured out that the flappy that fly, like in the penthouse, the flappy that like goes up and flies around dropping filth, that if you just stand in the filth, it reflects the damage at him while he's in the air, flying around. Like, no one does that shit. No one figured out that was a thing. You know what mean?

Speaker 1 (46:09)
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (46:10)
I will say that was like one of the most fun parts about that challenge was literally just you play at the opposite of every DPS encounter. Every DPS encounter is don't stand in the things. Fastest playthrough is go stand in everything as much as possible.

Speaker 1 (46:26)
Yeah,

stand in everything because it will reflect everything.

Speaker 2 (46:29)
Yeah, there's there's few occasions where like for whatever reason the AOE or or thing is its own entity isn't tied back to the enemy so won't reflect but like 99 % of everything just reflects back on the caster. So yeah, you just do I did Dark Agartha on on him. I like I needed the time extender but I did beat it. I Dark Agartha. It was literally like all the fire stand on all the fire all the fire.

Speaker 1 (46:55)
Thank you.

Speaker 2 (46:57)
This is fine, has never been so perfect for like that. Like, I was like, yes, fire.

Speaker 1 (47:03)
If only we saw the gatekeeper fight around.

Speaker 2 (47:07)
Gatekeeper in Dark Garth does like the giant yellow AoEs you usually have to run out of. I was just like, oh! Stand in this!

Speaker 1 (47:14)
Yeah. I'm just, I just remember from TSW, the gatekeeper fight in that, like if that felt like to me, like once I beat the gatekeeper, I was like, that's it. I'm done. I'm done. Like that was like the top. Um, like, once you, once you beat the gatekeeper in TSW, because it was like standing anything and you just got obliterated, like anything just stand in it and it just killed you instantly. Um, bomber says.

Filth reflect is how people killed it during the original Whispering Tide. They whipped out their chainsaws and stood in the filth and murdered the air bombing birds of the Zero Point Pathogen.

Speaker 2 (47:48)
funny and they fixed it that specific iteration of it

Speaker 1 (47:51)
And then it was fixed.

Yeah, they were like, don't do that. Stop doing that.

Speaker 2 (47:57)
I

I tried to break the game so I got this t-shirt. Wait, I made that shirt too.

Speaker 1 (48:04)
We made a couple shirts.

Does it say crummy? It does say crummy, yeah.

Very nice. Very nice.

Speaker 2 (48:10)
I made it. I got it in game and I made it.

Speaker 1 (48:13)
I would say Funcom is like, my gosh, you can't do that.

I really don't think they minded at this point.

Speaker 2 (48:19)
I have.

think it's under GM shirts, right?

Speaker 1 (48:22)
Is this a merch store stream? I mean, we don't have a merch store, but...

Speaker 2 (48:28)
Here Waffle, can see my in-game version of the shirt.

I think I did a pretty good job at recreating it.

Speaker 1 (48:33)
I think you did too. It looks great.

Speaker 3 (48:35)
It's pretty much spot on.

Speaker 1 (48:36)
At first I was like, did it, it really say crummy? And it's like, does. It does say crummy. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (48:40)
right font and everything. Hey you got your petition shirt!

I have that one too.

What else do I have?

Speaker 1 (48:48)
it's got the, the council of Venice logo on it. Okay. Yeah. Nice. Nice.

Speaker 2 (48:53)
I have this one, this is another GM shirt. hold on, I can turn around.

Speaker 3 (48:59)
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (48:59)
Faronga National Park? Mount? Nyaragongo? Okay.

Speaker 2 (49:05)
It's like some teaser.

Speaker 1 (49:06)
Hey, Cricket!

I don't think that I have any fun shirts, I never really went seeking them out.

The one thing I think I really wanted from TSW was the Halo, and I don't think they ever brought that into Secret World Legends.

Speaker 2 (49:22)
They regretted making that, that was the problem.

Speaker 1 (49:24)
Yeah, they really didn't want that after a while.

Speaker 2 (49:28)
I got this one, this is another GM shirt.

Speaker 1 (49:31)
What is that one for? Wait. that's just one of the GM shirts. Who? Yeah, wait. Who is that one for? Is that Roybus? Yeah, because of the T on top.

Speaker 2 (49:35)
Yeah.

And then I got, obviously we got the Andy shirt.

Speaker 1 (49:45)
Right. Yes. No, I have that one. I think I have both Andy's and Nicole's.

Speaker 2 (49:50)
You got the Nicole shirt

And then I think the only other one I have is... I have the petition one that, Bomber has. And I have this bees one.

This is all the ones I have I believe and I'm gonna say I have I have the broke the game shirt, right?

Speaker 1 (50:01)
Bees! I think I've got that one too.

Speaker 2 (50:10)
I got this one

And then the only other shirt, it's not in GM's shirt, but at my healer's shirt, right?

This one. This is my quote from a cult defense beta test.

Speaker 1 (50:19)
Guys, I'm a healer. We're gonna die.

Speaker 2 (50:21)
That's when we were testing a cult defense and I realized that we had a tank like all DPS and I was pistol with clean slate and I was like, I have the only group heal. I was like, guys, I'm a healer, we're gonna die.

Speaker 1 (50:33)
Be like, if you make me the healer.

Speaker 2 (50:36)
So we were testing a cult defense, were in voice with Nervelle, and apparently Nervelle had it open or whatever, because one of the artists overheard that happen and then apparently immediately started making this shit.

Speaker 1 (50:50)
He's like, love it. Love it. Great. Great. Great quote. Can't beat that.

Is there a jam shirt category? For some reason I can't find it.

Speaker 2 (50:59)
It's just like GM.

Speaker 1 (51:00)
there it is.

It's just a different, okay, you're right, it shows the different colors.

Speaker 2 (51:03)
And then actually, technically this, what I was wearing before, this pentagram one, that's a community rewards version of the pentagram shirt. It's like the red version.

Speaker 1 (51:14)
I was gonna say that Vomers got...

is is down on all the shirts whatever whatever bomber has a has an event

They're always like, I've got this t-shirt that has never before been seen in this game.

N-Nasos. Coffee.

Very nice, very nice.

What did you say?

I my last.

I have this sixth anniversary shirt. You guys want to see the sixth anniversary shirt?

Speaker 2 (51:34)
I'd be impressed if you had the 7th anniversary shirt.

Speaker 1 (51:38)
We got that already.

Speaker 2 (51:39)
did it. That's I would be impressed.

Speaker 1 (51:39)
does that.

That's why it would be a recipe. Like part of me thinks that if I were to have a shirt made, I would kind of stick to that.

Like that would sort of be the style that I would go for.

Speaker 2 (51:50)
What do mean?

Speaker 1 (51:51)
Um, wait, where are they?

Where did the anniversary shirts go?

Speaker 2 (51:55)
I know it's I see you mean the end of the verse is truth, is that what mean?

Speaker 1 (51:57)
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:58)
It's a joke, Scooter. They didn't make a 7th anniversary shirt.

Speaker 1 (52:01)
Yeah, they've only made up to six.

Speaker 2 (52:04)
They only made six. Seventh anniversary came and went and they just didn't put a new shirt in the game. Cause they made, some reason they made six. And then they, they made six like at launch, put them in the game. They never added any more. So seventh has came and went. This year will be eighth. I'd be surprised to see a shirt this year.

Speaker 3 (52:24)
and more likely gonna be the same. It's the secret shirt.

Speaker 2 (52:27)
Secret shirt. Or they come up with their own 8th shirt. Yeah, you didn't miss anything.

Speaker 1 (52:32)
this year they're gonna hear that and they're gonna be like, okay, we're gonna make a seventh and eighth

shirt just for this year.

Speaker 3 (52:39)
It'd be seven slash eight. So it'd be like a seventh,

Speaker 2 (52:45)
Are there any... Now I wanna know, are there any shirts that have, that like look like an eight? I have the Alienware shirt. I forgot about that.

Speaker 1 (52:46)
seven eight.

Speaker 2 (52:54)
Or as like odd shirts go.

Speaker 1 (52:55)
I don't

Speaker 2 (52:56)
Is

there any clothing that like has like an eight on it like a number like drag Dragon has 35 on it. So, you know set for the 35th anniversary. You know to me just for the dragon basketball jersey for that one

Speaker 3 (53:16)
no, it's five plus three is eight.

Speaker 2 (53:19)
shit, you're right. God damn, I didn't even think of that. I could wear that this year.

Speaker 1 (53:25)
just constantly switch between the fifth anniversary shirt and the third anniversary shirt.

Speaker 2 (53:29)
No, the best- no, he's right, the dragon basketball jersey says 3-5, so you just add them together, that's 8.

Speaker 1 (53:35)
See you all right.

Speaker 2 (53:37)
See? That works. That works.

Speaker 3 (53:38)
See, see that they planned it.

Speaker 2 (53:40)
It is something the dragon would plan, to be fair.

Speaker 1 (53:43)
devs are secretly teasing you into the shadows to release six years of cosmetics at once listen I mean you never know that's sort of the way that that's sort of the way that fun come operates with its older games like they've even thrown stuff into

Speaker 2 (53:46)
Celebration shirt with the

Speaker 1 (54:00)
Age of Conan and what's the other one?

Speaker 2 (54:03)
And I one.

Speaker 1 (54:04)
Anarchy online like they've even get.

Speaker 2 (54:06)
yes good or i'm a play the shadow dune i got that i got the ultimate addition like pre-ordered for my birthday

Speaker 1 (54:16)
you

went with the ultimate?

Speaker 2 (54:17)
Yeah, I got a bunch of steam gift cards for my birthday. So I just was like, bucket. I'm doing it.

Speaker 1 (54:22)
Yeah, yeah. I was gonna say we have since the last time we have a lot of Dune Awakening.

Speaker 2 (54:29)
news.

Speaker 1 (54:30)
News

go over that real quick. Dune Awakening, released February 26, the character creator and benchmark mode on Steam. It saves the character to your drives you can import later, and it gives a code for a free frame blade. But I think the code is just everywhere. I think I've seen that posted. It's just, you know, it's generic code, yeah.

Speaker 2 (54:50)
Yes, this is different.

Speaker 1 (54:53)
They've had multiple live streams and videos. They just had a live stream all about the combat builds, PVP, PVE, and server structure. Then earlier they had Joel Bilos on the business model, PC specs, features, and post-launch support. The launch date has been pushed back a few weeks as they released a producer letter. But they did say that hundreds of journalists and content creators

are going to be releasing coverage April 25th. So April 25th is going to be a day where I think just an influx, you will see a whole bunch of like influencer and whatever stuff. And that's when like all the gaming sites will have all the stuff on it. They say that they're listening to feedback from beta testers and they decided to let the game cook a little more.

The new release date is now June 10th with a head start launching June 5th. Ah, the five day head start. It promises a large scale beta weekend next month.

So I guess in May, they're going to basically have the stress test.

April 25th is when embargo is lifted. I don't know if necessarily embargo is lifted for everybody or if it's just for specific journalists and content creators.

Speaker 2 (56:01)
Probably just the journos, I would think, but I don't know for sure.

Speaker 3 (56:08)
Well, yeah.

Speaker 1 (56:08)
and

Speaker 3 (56:11)
where it had a bunch of content creators and journalists playing the game a couple of weeks ago or about a month ago.

Speaker 1 (56:17)
Yeah, yeah, they obviously got approval. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (56:21)
to answer a scooter's question. Yeah, I do plan to stream Dune Awakening.

As soon as I can Like we know when it that cuz I I forget how The head start isn't like a huge head start if you get the ultimate addition you get I don't know You but yeah, it was like a few days or whatever. but as soon as I can I will for sure. I found another shirt that can work by the way guys for eight see this shirt So it's red shirt here If you look at the dice The visible dice dots add up to eight

Speaker 1 (56:35)
Five days.

That it does. Yep.

Speaker 2 (56:52)
So

you know, we go-

Speaker 3 (56:54)
I'm just saying.

Speaker 2 (56:55)
Just saying, we have an eight year anniversary shirt. It was right under our noses all along.

Speaker 1 (57:02)
Everything is true.

Speaker 2 (57:03)
You know.

Speaker 1 (57:04)
They're playing due to a very specific region, not to spoil the rest of the game. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's why I think like, I don't think it's going to be a full NDA release. I think it's just going to be like, they're going to be like, you know, you can tell people about the game, but don't, you know, don't, don't spoil it. Don't, don't, you know, like we've got a whole story planned out. Don't spoil it.

Speaker 2 (57:22)
I'm super looking forward to it. That will be a...

I will definitely be streaming that when it comes out.

Speaker 1 (57:28)
But yes, push back to June 10th, but I would would expect the like a stress test beta sometime in May The latest issues

Speaker 2 (57:37)
They did say in in juice do you see that part that they said there was gonna be like an open beta

Speaker 1 (57:45)
Yes, I mean, that's what I assume when they mean a promise is a large scale beta weekend is what they said. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (57:50)
Yeah,

that was like that was I think I was also like kind of like a throwing a bone like hey We're pushing the game back, but you'll get to play it Right Which is cool What about the Fremen? What's fremen?

Speaker 1 (57:59)
Yeah, mean, yeah.

With Reman.

Speaker 2 (58:03)
What are you

Wait, wait, which shirt is issue 8? Does it- and also does it say issue 8 on it? I know issue 8 is the-

Speaker 1 (58:12)
was Venetian Agenda.

Speaker 2 (58:16)
But what is- but what was this shirt called?

I don't remember what the name of this shirt is.

Speaker 1 (58:20)
Hmm, that's a good question.

Speaker 2 (58:21)
I hadn't made it down that far apparently in the list.

The Venetian agenda? You're wearing it? Well, I'm looking at me. Because I'm in the dressing room.

Speaker 1 (58:31)
It's just called the Venetian Agenda T-shirt.

Speaker 2 (58:33)
Issue 8, Issue 8 shirt, like I get it. But like, I know, I like the dice I think more. So far. I'm still looking to see if there's any other things that explicitly have like an 8 on them. But I kind of like the dice one so far.

Speaker 1 (58:48)
Dice one's nice. Dice one is a good one to use for that. Right, they released their Communinet Signal 6 and 7 since our last show, which is basically, you know, they talk about the community and what the community's been making and like people who...

have

are making stuff and then all the gaming conventions and artwork and stuff like that.

uh... which are fun to prove through if you're that sort of thing uh... they said in in-game radio showcase with radio play an old-school soundtracks

No, that was just my title and doesn't make any dang sense. Anyway, they released the first episode of Five Days at Carthag, which is like a radio play, which I listened to and it's very much like the broadcast. Awesome. Like the they do the broadcast in Secret World. Like it's very much a radio play sort of in that old school style.

And then, did they announce this on April Fool's Day? But I think it's actually happening. They say that you can also on one of the radio stations that they have, which you can play while you play Dune Awakening, that you can listen to the original Dune 1 and 2 RTS game music from the 90s.

Speaker 2 (1:00:07)
no, that is true.

Speaker 1 (1:00:08)
That is true. Yeah, I'll say that's that's true.

Speaker 2 (1:00:10)
Which in and of itself is a good piece of information to get out there. The fact that like it has a streamer mode so that you don't get yourself copyright struck while you're streaming it.

Speaker 1 (1:00:18)
feel like Funcom definitely took that to stride when they made, when they published, what's the, yes, Metal Hellsinger, that they were like, this game is all about music. Hey, if we want people to actually be able to stream this, we should make sure that that music doesn't get them in trouble, yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:00:25)
Mental health care.

Nightmare's ragged sweater has eight stripes on the torso.

Speaker 3 (1:00:40)
Ha ha ha ha ha.

Speaker 1 (1:00:42)
The Inzum of the Academy t-shirt has an 8 in the founding date.

Speaker 2 (1:00:45)
We're need to get like a collage of people wearing all the different like, quasi eight shirts.

Speaker 3 (1:00:52)
Do we have a one first year shirt with a one on it? We get eight people.

Speaker 2 (1:00:59)
You can also get like a five and a three shirt. We can get four twos.

Speaker 1 (1:01:07)
I'll say in the year that Vymer's talking about, it's the last number, which is 1798.

Speaker 2 (1:01:14)
Okay, we get a person with a 1, a person with a 2, a with a 3, and then a person with a 4.

Speaker 1 (1:01:25)
No Armored, it will not be Funcom's first rodeo, I feel like this would be the... one of Funcom's most anticipated games ever?

Speaker 3 (1:01:35)
ambitious.

Speaker 2 (1:01:36)
yeah.

Speaker 1 (1:01:37)
Yeah, most ambitious and most anticipated for sure. For sure. They even said, keep going on with this, they even said that the game will not release in early access, which in and of itself is sort of bucking, fun coms trend of releasing games in early access, like they did with code and exiles. And then eventually taking it out of early access when it's, when it's all cooked. I've always said that fun com, it's fun com seems to be one of the companies that

that takes that early access that Steam offers seriously. they take it seriously and they do a good job. Those games don't stay forever in early access.

Speaker 3 (1:02:12)
Not like a decade with like what seven days to die just came out star citizen

Speaker 2 (1:02:19)
There are eight button ties on the Chinese shirt.

Speaker 3 (1:02:22)
you

Speaker 1 (1:02:23)
AI is everywhere.

Speaker 2 (1:02:24)
That's a good one.

Speaker 1 (1:02:25)
yeah, we'll, we'll release an early access. We'll not have a subscription. but I would say like, if there's any company that did early access, right. It has been.

Speaker 2 (1:02:35)
There might be scooters it's it was good or something about the Potentially deals with other plants and doom. Yeah, they did say something about like I don't know if that I don't know that was gonna be DLC or expansion that would be planets did it talked about The season passes for is so it's not a battle pass some people misunderstood that season pass and steam is just like a bunch of DLCs basically

Season the season pass for doing awakening is like you're been titled like the first three DLCs. So you're have DLCs, right?

Speaker 1 (1:03:08)
Yeah, like

this this primary with their models going to be is going to be no subscription. I think that's nice. Like box price and then expansion prices and cosmetic. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:03:12)
Now

the

Speaker 1 (1:03:38)
Yeah,

like I was about to say, sort of like Conan Exiles. Yeah, you could buy a whole bunch of different buildings.

Speaker 2 (1:03:44)
could be

Speaker 1 (1:03:47)
I wouldn't put it past them.

Speaker 2 (1:03:48)
Otzen has eight arms in a desert dress casual shirt.

Speaker 3 (1:03:51)
You

Speaker 1 (1:03:52)
Why not? But so they said pre-orders began March 24th and offering many goodies for pre-ordering. You can buy the standard edition, which comes with the terrarium of Muad'Dib and the Sunset Dice Watch for $49.99. Also interesting, the standard base game is just $50. Like, that's even below our current standard of $60. And what, Nintendo is pushing for like $80 now as a standard?

So it's even below the standard 60.

Hey Cricket? Yeah. Yes Cricket. You can come get it. You can come get a t-shirt if you don't have it already. Then there's the Deluxe Edition, which the Deluxe Edition starts with a five day head start and you get Sardar, armor and the season pass comes with the Deluxe Edition. And that's for $70. $69.99.

And then the ultimate edition comes with the Kaladin Place building set, the Dune 2021 film stillsuit, the season pass, the digital art book, the digital soundtrack, a blue ornithopter skin, a

Dusk Rider color swatch for the Sand Bike and everything else and that's $89.99 so that's $90.

Speaker 2 (1:05:08)
Yeah, that's what I got myself. Well, I didn't get myself. That's what I got with my gift cards for my birthday. Went all in on that.

Speaker 1 (1:05:14)
Nice!

BAM! There you go, Cricket.

Speaker 2 (1:05:18)
I will have to figure out how I'm getting Elevator Ring Night Ring when that comes out.

Speaker 3 (1:05:21)
You

Speaker 2 (1:05:22)
I think there's like two more games I need this summer. I can't remember the other one is right now. There's Dune, there's Night Rain, I think there's something else, but I can't recall what it is.

Speaker 1 (1:05:33)
Yeah, Dune I might actually drop money on. I usually don't pay. I usually wait for games to go on sale before I usually buy them.

Speaker 2 (1:05:40)
Look at little dude with the big ears.

Speaker 1 (1:05:42)
Like I like playing, yeah, it's the, Mwadib. Mwadib. I don't know how you pronounce it. Mwadib. Muad Daib. Dude.

Speaker 3 (1:05:49)
What do you

Say hello.

Speaker 2 (1:05:56)
Salad? Did you say salad?

Speaker 3 (1:05:58)
Yes.

Speaker 1 (1:05:59)
Salad. They're, they're, they're God. Salad, elude. Elude, elude salad.

Speaker 3 (1:06:07)
A weird time.

Speaker 1 (1:06:08)
So yeah, looks like it's basically gonna be the same way. But like I play, like I played No Man's Sky. When No Man's Sky first came out, was, it was garbage. It needed way, way more cooking.

Speaker 2 (1:06:18)
You're going to say you that in front of the salad?

Speaker 3 (1:06:20)
You don't need a cook as I lewd.

Speaker 1 (1:06:22)
delude salad. But yeah, but No Man's Sky. Now, it's a good game. Now they've put so much effort into it's a good game, but all they've had to go off of is just been the box price.

But the box price hasn't really shifted that much over the years. Like, even now, I want to verify this before I say it. But even now, if you go to Steam.

Speaker 2 (1:06:44)
just say it.

Speaker 1 (1:06:45)
See if I'm right. I was going to say it's still $60. Yep. It's still $60. Like it has not reduced price over the years. It's still 60. It will still go on sale for like Christmas sales or this sale or that sale. But, um, but they haven't changed the box price over the years. And that is sort of rare for a game, but it's also rare that they basically have supported all the, all the updates that they've made on just the box price.

Speaker 2 (1:07:11)
Right.

Speaker 1 (1:07:12)
And I sort of think that might be sort of... I mean, they are going to charge for expansions and whatnot.

But they're like, maybe we don't need a subscription. We can just go off of box price and cosmetic prices and other stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (1:07:26)
So I got a bunch more information from the Pirate Software stream that I happened to catch.

Speaker 1 (1:07:32)
Okay.

Speaker 2 (1:07:32)
and

Yeah, they talked about the DLC thing and the expansion and it was like, even including like the expansions would be like essentially additional ways to get stuff. like you can't.

Like you're not going to be buying power, but you can buy content through a different way to get comparable power.

Speaker 1 (1:07:53)
right because

Because power in and of itself is the game's mostly going to be like what you get to a certain point is going to be PVP, right? It's gonna be mostly PVP. And when you're like, these people can buy power over here and those people can buy power over there, then the kind of

Speaker 2 (1:08:10)
the

Speaker 1 (1:08:22)
Right, right.

of like in the original Guild Wars style, was basically like Guild Wars released their first game. It's called Prophecies. And then they released like an expansion or they released a second game. But actually you didn't even need the first game in order to buy the second game. They were actually a completely different story, but it gave you different abilities. It gave you different things to do. And if you bought them both and you played through both, just

gave you a bigger tool set. And then they released a third one to the same model. You didn't actually need the other two games to play it. You just needed just that one. And then it had its own story. It had its own abilities. And it had its own special things that you only found in just that version. And yeah, you didn't need anything else in order to play it. That's all you needed was just that one.

This will not be exactly like that, but it will be like, yeah, instead of expanding upwards, you expand sideways.

Speaker 2 (1:09:21)
That's

what they're planning. They even discussed potential new classes, new skill sets. That even that would be like... Might require balancing, they might have to go back and tweak an old one, but you wouldn't be like, the new thing is way more powerful. The new thing might be falling in a different way, but they should all be balanced.

Speaker 1 (1:09:43)
Right, yeah. That it's just, it'll give you a wide in your toolbox, which I really, I actually really like that style. Like I said, Guild Wars does that. Elder Scrolls Online does that. Like a lot of the big games do that where it just, the tool set, just the different ways that can use it just grow, but nothing actually gets really stronger.

Speaker 2 (1:10:03)
take away I got from that thing was when they were talking about the monetization specifically, because like, know, they're, they, they're under 10 cent now, right? They're, they're under 10 cent. Um, that like the, the money guys, like, right. They're, they're behind them on this. They're not fighting them to do this payment model. They've got like full backing, like it's not like they're being told.

Speaker 1 (1:10:26)
Mm-mm.

Speaker 2 (1:10:33)
We really would rather you do this, but you you twist on her arm and you're like, no, they've.

Speaker 1 (1:10:37)
it's anything like code on exiles, which it does appear to be, it's going to have. Yeah, they've already proved that it

Speaker 2 (1:10:46)
My guess is like a writing on the wall that like the microtransaction loot box shit is not here to stay. If for no other reason than the legality problems that are coming, right?

Speaker 1 (1:10:59)
Yeah, because of how much it's associated with gambling and how much it's associated with how

Speaker 2 (1:11:07)
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (1:11:09)
Loot boxes in several countries you can't have I think is like the Netherlands and Probably two other countries that you can't have a game with loot box

Speaker 1 (1:11:17)
But also in a bunch of Asian countries too, there's a lot of laws associated with with loot boxes.

Speaker 2 (1:11:22)
I'm saying they're they're only increasing right and so I think it's sort of like if they have a model that's gonna work that makes you safe from like future problems I think I think I might be part of the reason they're down and aren't like pushing really hard for a micro model so I think my job

Speaker 1 (1:11:39)
I think is why the

Speaker 2 (1:11:42)
Going out of favor.

Speaker 1 (1:11:43)
I think it's, but it has been replaced basically by like the season pass battle pass, which does seem to be working for the most part. that's how it's done, I guess.

Speaker 2 (1:11:53)
Yeah, I'm not sure

Yeah Even even that all interestingly overwatch brought back the loot crates, although I feel like it's disingenuous to call those loot crates They're not really loot crates not not like you think of them. You know what I mean? Like you like you just get them for playing the game, you know, guess maybe you can still buy them. I don't know but like

Speaker 1 (1:12:11)
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (1:12:19)
No, you can't buy him.

Speaker 1 (1:12:21)
Well, that's different. You just get them by playing the game. Yeah, you don't actually buy them. Yeah. And if you get them by playing the game, then is that really gambling like.

Speaker 2 (1:12:32)
No, it's just... You

open randomly. Also, they changed the system, like you're guaranteed like all kinds of stuff. You don't get dupes anymore. Like, I don't know. It looks like a crate, so it gets like the ire still, I think. Like, they brought back crates, but it's not... It's not the thing everyone's fighting, you know what I mean? But unfortunately, it doesn't look great because it looks just like the thing everyone's against. It's sort of a problem.

Speaker 1 (1:12:57)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah, it's it's been like it looks basically exactly the same. they're like, it functions exactly the same. And you're like, no, not quite. Not exactly. But then each game functions differently anyway. And there's a whole bunch of them. Armored Scooter says, by the way, yet Defiance is coming back tomorrow. If anyone remembers the trial game Armored Scooter, I've actually been going through and rewatching the TV show. Because someone said they're like

They're like, does it hold up? Does the TV show still hold up? When they did their, what they call, what they call transmedia synergy is what they said. That's the phrase that they used for it. And at the time it was sort of really cool.

There was this MMO and then what happened in the MMO like could get referenced in the show itself. And then how the show progressed is then how the MMO progressed. And there was this like thing back and forth between them. but I've been going through the show, trying to see if it holds up. And I don't know if I'm the best at whether something holds up because I am usually perpetually behind the times.

But I think it does. I think it still holds up really well.

but I've always said out of like most sci-fi Defiance's first season was okay. Defiance's second season is like one of the best, like one of the best sci-fi seasons from like any show. Defiance's second season is excellent, but I'll have to see if that's still true or not. I've only gotten through like most of first season. But yeah, I like Defiance. I might be picking that back up.

It's a nice shooter. It's a nice sci-fi-esque shooter.

Speaker 2 (1:14:37)
I just got back into Once Human a little bit.

Speaker 1 (1:14:39)
Yeah, that's another good sci-fi-esque shooter. Yeah. I saw that you're doing a fish run?

Speaker 2 (1:14:44)
I finished. I did that all the way.

Speaker 1 (1:14:46)
you

already finished it?

Speaker 2 (1:14:48)
I did the... I did a fish run before, but they had a new scenario, like a new world, right? The way of winter. And they added like a new modifier called Lunar Oracle. Where like at night time, you get like driven insane and like things spawn to kill you and... So it's even harder. So was like, oh, I'm going to do frozen fish only way of winter with Lunar Oracle. Like just like...

and i did it i i i finished finish the storyline the scenario finished the lunar

Speaker 1 (1:15:22)
So I have a question for you. I heard that they are planning in Once Human to kind of create a perpetual...

Speaker 2 (1:15:32)
Yeah, it's I think it's I was like a month or something. It's one really soon. Yes like there

Speaker 1 (1:15:39)
The way that they've been doing up until now in OnceHuman has been like, here's a scenario and you'll play through it, but then they have decided for a new one and you can transfer some stuff over, but not all the stuff. And you basically restart and you get to, you go through it much more quickly. But. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:15:45)
You don't have to sign up for a new one.

But also potentially a different scenario, right? Like, you've...

Speaker 1 (1:15:59)
Right, Like, will slightly change. But I heard that, was it for their mobile release? That they were actually going to go ahead and have a more perpetual, like one that never ends so that maybe someone like me, someone slow as heck and plays all these different games, would eventually get to the top of one of

I mean, but have like a more consistent server instead of a...

Speaker 2 (1:16:24)
Yeah, I mean, it's I'm not sure how that's going to work like exactly. It's like the way the way they've been designed, right, is like you like you finish and like, yeah, you can keep grinding silos and bosses and stuff. But like, what else would you do? No, so I'm curious how they're going to do that. Like, are they going to have you stay in it and then just like read like the missions recycle or like, have no idea. I haven't.

Speaker 1 (1:16:40)
Right, yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:16:52)
I know it's a thing that they're doing, but I don't really know if they've said the nuts and bolts of it yet, or if they've even like revealed them or not, I'm not sure.

problem to crack is like okay, so your whole thing was like Every x weeks you can you know your thing ends and you can sign up for that same one again or a hard version of that one or a different one right like but it gives you like a reason to redo and you can also redo it like in simplified mode so like Some stuffs like you don't like you don't have to like we

The simplified mode is really interesting. You don't have to redo the missions. You just go to where the mission was and you see an echo of yourself and sort of absorb it. And then boom, you finish the mission. Because you kind of already did it. Why make you do the same thing again?

Speaker 1 (1:17:36)
Yeah.

Right,

yeah, so like, well, I already did that, yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:17:42)
Go on.

So I'm curious how perpetual would work because I was like after like six weeks or so, the hell are you going to do? Like again, you could be going slower. Maybe that's part of it, but okay. After six months, what are you going to do? Right? Like

Speaker 1 (1:17:59)
Yeah, eventually you're just going to run out of stuff to do at which point maybe it's like, maybe we should give people that ability like after the six months or after they've done the whatever, then they'll be more enticed to do the seasonal stuff because that'll suddenly have more like different cosmetic rewards or it'll have right different play styles or it'll have different.

Speaker 2 (1:18:17)
Also have eternal land like eternal land is like you basically your Infant base bubble right yeah, like it's your bubble world that you can build with like the eternal sand or whatever like you build shit out of like all like the sand crap And so in there, that's your personal universe essentially

Speaker 1 (1:18:22)
You're in sc-

That doesn't change, yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:18:43)
That's like you so even if you don't sign up for a new scenario you can just you just hang out in your bubble or whatever Yeah, I don't know. I'm curious to see how they do that I want to just see new another scenario right like another another place like the story is really cool Like the lore like the lore is cool sometimes the dialogue can be a little eh right like some kind sometimes it can lean a little too far into like the

The spoken dialogue stuff, I don't think it's a strong Seeker world, but the written lore is really good. Like the written lore is genuinely good. I feel like the cinematic stuff leans a little more like anime, kind of like over the top stuff, which isn't necessarily bad if that's like you're into that thing, but the written lore is really strong in it.

Speaker 1 (1:19:20)
The dialogue is a little...

Speaker 2 (1:19:33)
So I want to see like where that goes, like how much more they delve into like the world. Cause I mean, there's a reason like every other person that plays it is like, this reminds me of secret world. Like it's super lore heavy if you pay attention to it and it's setting.

Speaker 1 (1:19:49)
We

go deep into it.

Speaker 2 (1:19:50)
No, VanBone. Yeah, Living Flame is a beast indeed.

Speaker 1 (1:19:55)
Living with Flame is a beast. And everyone says, haven't seen a game keep up with Seek World Legends in terms of spoken dialogue, both quantity and quality. It's sort of actually part of their downfall a little bit. Because if you're like, hey, we have this standard where every mission has this like, this like excellent voice acting and every mission has this

Speaker 2 (1:20:01)
Yeah, it's crazy. It's insane.

Speaker 1 (1:20:21)
these like personalized cut scenes and this and that's like, that's a lot of resources going into, you know, basically missions and, and like each cut scene has like animations that you don't see like anywhere else.

because it's all specialized. so if they're like, we're going to create this, it's like it's going to be a lot of effort to do all the excellent voice acting, those excellent cut scenes. They sort of have to keep that up in order to keep the quality high. And the game just not bringing in the money to do that. Yeah, basically.

Speaker 2 (1:21:00)
It's just a shame, man. You see like so much more expensive games with like, you know, way newer tech and just flashy whatever. And then like, they just have like talking heads or they don't even talk. It's just text. Yeah. It's just, it's just like, God damn, They did, they, their mo cap was like better than any, even just the mo cap, the mo cap alone, like the actual acting like is better than like, 99.9 % of like anything out there.

Speaker 1 (1:21:30)
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (1:21:31)
to this day, which is crazy. I'm even bothered to do anything that good.

Speaker 1 (1:21:37)
Yeah, because well, basically, yeah, it costs a lot. It costs a lot to do it that well. now I'm of games like, Elder Scrolls online, because I play that and it's like, whenever they release new content, like, yeah, they bring in a lot of voice acting because they, there's a lot of voice that goes on and the, and the voice acting is actually pretty good. I would say the voice acting and the characters that they create are excellent. it's one of the game's strengths, but.

They don't all have specific animations. They don't all have specific cutscenes. If there's any cutscenes, I don't even think there are any cutscenes. Like they're just the regular missions. And when you talk to somebody, they're just doing like all the basic same animations that they do all throughout the game. you know, so all that they basically pay for essentially that's new is the voice acting. It's all right. They're not, they're not doing motion capture. They're not doing that. They're not doing any of that.

was just gonna say ESO. Right, but again, but the stories are good in ESO. The combat is still whatever, it's a little too easy, it's a little too, you know.

ESO has its own issues.

But it does, it holds up really well because, right, you go to those cutscenes and you're like, holy crap, these are great, these are excellent.

And you just you just don't see it, but it's probably because you don't see it because it's a lot. It's a lot to do for. Like, every mission has a cut scene, yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:22:58)
crazily enough, think a remaster of Secret World would do amazing. Like if you just, if you just like took, because all that mocap, right? Like it's all like, it's mocap data. Like if you just took all of that and like, like redid the game and like Unreal Engine, right? But you, but you have all the mocap stuff. So you just, you know, ported to the new models. I say that like it's two seconds, but you,

Speaker 1 (1:23:26)
Yeah, it's yeah a little armchair development, but yeah

Speaker 2 (1:23:27)
But to be fair, like you

the data, I'm sure there is the conversion process if it doesn't already exist could be made, right? think genuinely, even though it still looks really good for its age, I do think part of it is like, people, you know, they shop with their eyes, right? And if it looks older, right?

Speaker 1 (1:23:49)
And even though they did Legends, even though Legends came out in 2017, it's still based off of 2012.

Speaker 2 (1:23:54)
It's still Dreamworld, it got some minor updates, but it's basically the same- the same-

Speaker 1 (1:23:58)
Same 2012, yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:24:01)
so I think, I think genuinely if they did a remaster, it would actually,

Speaker 1 (1:24:07)
They need to bring it to consoles. Yeah, consoles would.

Speaker 2 (1:24:10)
It would

get bigger. It would get bigger purely because like you would you would see all those mocapped moments all those cinematics like it in like, you know, stunning 4K and people would be like, shit. You know what I mean? Like, yeah, it would have an old shit factor that like it doesn't quite have the same way anymore. I think TSW did when it first came out a bit.

Speaker 1 (1:24:33)
I

yeah. That's why people loved it. They grabbed Stator, because they're like, my gosh, like this is so good. It's, you know.

And the cutscenes too weren't like too long, like we're not talking about like Final Fantasy XIV or nothing.

Speaker 2 (1:24:47)
thing

like there's there's the problem is like what God of War right the most recent one was it called? Was it Ragnarok?

Speaker 1 (1:24:56)
Maybe. I don't know. I'm not sure myself. But I get what you mean. Yeah. The with the one with with the boy. What are you doing, boy?

Speaker 2 (1:25:08)
I think it's I think it's got a war like Ragnarok. want to say anyways that what I think that one would give win my game of the year or something but like It's it's so many cutscenes. It's like yeah Apparently it's it's an enormous amount of you're not playing the game you're watching a movie Which is also a problem, right? That's me it's not a problem if you want to watch a movie but if you want to play a game you're trying to play the character then you

have to watch 30 minutes of stuff like that's a bit much. then Secret World has a good balance of like do a bunch of stuff. Yeah, cool cut scene, but it's like, I don't know, a couple of minutes.

Speaker 1 (1:25:45)
Yeah, it's not a long cutscene. doesn't get in the way. It's like, and sure, you can even still skip it if you wanted, but it's only a couple minutes and it's really good. Why would you?

But yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:25:55)
for speedrunning.

Speaker 1 (1:25:58)
yeah, obviously, but I mean, like if you're not speed running, like, you know, they're good. They're good. And they don't take

Speaker 2 (1:26:03)
I'm

about that. I want to do a true speedrun.

I've genuinely been thinking about it, like...

The thing is the only time I can do it is like the marathon streams because like it literally takes that long to do the speed of the game. I don't want to do it in pieces. I think the cool part would be to do it like you know all in one shot but all in one shot is like 29 hours.

Speaker 1 (1:26:15)
Mm-hmm.

Speaker 2 (1:26:25)
So.

Speaker 1 (1:26:26)
yeah, yeah, we know about the

Speaker 2 (1:26:28)
Genuinely

the past couple days have been thinking about it. I was thinking about hitting up Fox Because there's the speed the speed Speed run leaderboard right like the timer mod You know And I'm curious if that can be made to work with the actual story mission

Speaker 1 (1:26:44)
Interesting. Okay.

Speaker 2 (1:26:45)
Cause when normally when you do a speed run like legit like I'm saying like submit to speedrun.com like Seeker of Legends speedrun. Normally you have like live split and like you know, yeah this time for completing you know, this.

Speaker 1 (1:26:52)
Right

to get to this point, this point, know,

finish blue mountain points or yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:27:03)
What is dawning of endless night right dawning of endless night this black sun red sun this mortal sins you don't mean like? completing the main story chunks like you know, Don't remember if I talked to them about that or not before but I kind of wanted to hit them up and see because I know that model

Speaker 1 (1:27:21)
Like an official sort of thing, yeah. Or like something similar.

Speaker 2 (1:27:25)
You can speed run like missions, individual missions and get a timer. you know, and it times all the tiers as well, right? But I wonder if you could do it for...

I the whole game.

Speaker 1 (1:27:35)
I'm trying to think what was the last what was the last like content that we got for the game was it the the the Rosen brawl investigation was that the the Valentine's week stuff.

Is that the last major content we got?

Speaker 2 (1:27:47)
I mean, did the rebalance come after that?

Speaker 1 (1:27:50)
the rebalance came

It did come after that. Stamier though, it came out seven months later.

Speaker 2 (1:27:53)
You came after that, right?

We also had the winter investigation. What year that come out?

Speaker 1 (1:28:00)
That's the question.

Speaker 2 (1:28:02)
I kinda wanna say Rebalance was the last thing.

Speaker 1 (1:28:05)
2018 was the winner event in the investigation.

Um, so I think, right, the last new basically story we have is, cause you're talking about the, they were talking about the hive, the scooters talking about the hive and the new investigation that comes with the Valentine's event.

Speaker 2 (1:28:20)
Would have been, yeah, you're right. That would have been the most, story-wise, most recent.

Speaker 1 (1:28:24)
story was most recent yet would be february last

Speaker 2 (1:28:27)
The last content we got was a rebalance, but it wasn't story.

Speaker 1 (1:28:31)
No, no, was but it was a rebounds

Speaker 2 (1:28:34)
Massive

it was a huge huge patch, but like it wasn't story content Well, was content Rebalance gave us the penthouse dungeon

Speaker 1 (1:28:42)
Well, yeah, that's true. content, yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:28:45)
And the E17 raid, which is new mechanics content. So it's not just, there was actual content content. I mean, technically not new story. don't-

Speaker 1 (1:28:58)
The is basically what I'm overall referring to.

Speaker 2 (1:29:01)
Dungeon I don't know that that actually has news story. It's more you're revisiting the penthouse so Maybe not technically new story, but definitely new content new playable

Speaker 1 (1:29:07)
Yeah.

Yeah, because the hive is basically mentioned during that investigation.

Speaker 2 (1:29:18)
Yeah,

the hive is missing the Valentine's one for sure.

Speaker 1 (1:29:20)
And was actually seen as not so much more of a prison for bees who defied the factions, but it was seen as like its own individual faction. It's like a faction of itself.

Speaker 2 (1:29:29)
I think you're thinking of the swarm.

Speaker 1 (1:29:32)
I am. Right, the hive would be there.

Speaker 2 (1:29:34)
Our hive is the prison.

Speaker 1 (1:29:36)
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:29:37)
The hive is the person, the swarm is the non-faction faction.

Speaker 1 (1:29:40)
the faction.

Speaker 2 (1:29:43)
But those are easily confused.

Speaker 1 (1:29:46)
Yeah, I was gonna say, yeah, that's... I'm not hating on myself for confusing that, yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:29:47)
done them internally.

I can see Waffle is though. He's got this burning look of passion in his eyes. FIREY CONTEMPT that you could possibly defend.

Speaker 1 (1:29:59)
It's like, how did I-

Speaker 3 (1:30:04)
How could you?

Speaker 1 (1:30:05)
How dare you act as an authority on this game, Ocho?

Speaker 3 (1:30:09)
even

a card carrying member.

Speaker 2 (1:30:12)
Of what?

Speaker 3 (1:30:12)
Exactly.

Speaker 1 (1:30:13)
I think

I've got enough. I think I've got enough. I got right here. I've got my my Illuminati pin, you know. That's a kind of card carrying kind of maybe.

Speaker 2 (1:30:23)
I my dragon dog tag.

Speaker 1 (1:30:25)
Nice. Nice.

I've got a, I've got a lore pillow across this.

Speaker 2 (1:30:30)
I'm jealous of the lore pillar. Hey, it's grass!

Speaker 1 (1:30:31)
You got the t-shirts, right?

Well now you can make a zero point report throw pillow.

Speaker 2 (1:30:41)
You can order one.

Speaker 3 (1:30:43)
You

Speaker 1 (1:30:44)
Should we post that? I feel like it's a borderline weird thing to post that.

Speaker 2 (1:30:48)
We don't have to post it, but...

Speaker 1 (1:30:50)
Yeah, it feels borderline, borderline, you know.

approved not approved content

Speaker 2 (1:30:57)
of

you, Lanyard.

Speaker 1 (1:30:58)
The only content Waffle cares about is the new daily login rewards. True, he's obsessed with them.

Speaker 2 (1:31:03)
What are those? Got

Speaker 3 (1:31:05)
When's it coming out?

Speaker 1 (1:31:06)
Got him Hey scratch I Got the Illumina dog tag and the pre-launch Illuminati dog tag and a mystery TSW lanyard I Saw the the stuff from Kaileni I saw that which I always cool though. So right here. I've got my coast Yeah, I've got the coasters

Speaker 2 (1:31:18)
Tschüss!

I have from cleaning I have have a

Little little OODA head. Like like Christmas ornament. It's got like a little thing on top for the like ribbon or something.

Speaker 1 (1:31:26)
nice, very nice.

Wait, hold on. right back.

Speaker 2 (1:31:35)
These are 3D printed by the way from the actual like Udamax in-game files, I think. I believe she acquired them from Funcom sources or something.

You have your 3D printed flappy? Nice bomber!

Speaker 1 (1:31:47)
Okay. This really, this really is a murder. We just like showing up. We just like showing off the swag.

Speaker 2 (1:31:53)
It's not

merch, like you can't buy that rabbit head, it's a...

Speaker 1 (1:31:57)
It's just stuff that, secret world stuff that we've accrued over time. Yeah. My merch is bigger than yours. It is sort of like that. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:32:00)
stream for sure.

Speaking of, I have an unopened, still in the shrink wrap, TSW-like DVD. Like the game.

Speaker 1 (1:32:16)
my my lore pillow.

Speaker 2 (1:32:18)
Nice.

Speaker 1 (1:32:19)
Yeah, I love it.

Speaker 3 (1:32:20)
know what you're holding up because it's not there.

Speaker 2 (1:32:23)
Tilti would not see that. Tilti.

Speaker 1 (1:32:25)
Yes.

I need to talk to him. Haven't talked to him in a while.

see what he's up to.

Speaker 2 (1:32:28)
Nice necromancer.

Speaker 1 (1:32:31)
I got the covers for Chapter 456 blown up to movie poster size hanging in my room and some Kingswith drug concept art hanging in my living room. Nice, dude.

I think that's basically it for my swag. I've got a couple of like masks. I've got like like face masks. Under Secret World.

The little lizard wife. life-hunt pillow I've ever seen.

Speaker 2 (1:32:48)
you got a disc plate bomber! Which one?

Which display did you get?

The Gang.

Speaker 1 (1:32:52)
The Gang.

Speaker 2 (1:32:54)
That sounds like an always sunny display.

Speaker 1 (1:32:56)
You'll take a pic? Nice. Put it in the Discord. We have a Discord, y'all. You should join it.

Speaker 2 (1:33:02)
It's literally called the gang, is it? Is it the one?

Speaker 1 (1:33:05)
Here's the link to our desk.

Speaker 2 (1:33:06)
Is like cigarette with all the other ones around that's what I'm guessing is how one is

Speaker 1 (1:33:13)
invite people. Send an invite link to a friend. The invite link expires in seven days.

Well, everyone's here. I posted here. We're going to join our Discord. There you go. And we're not told we're not like ridiculously active in it.

Speaker 3 (1:33:29)
I think.

Speaker 2 (1:33:30)
Yeah, the key art. That's what I figured, you man-bomber.

Speaker 1 (1:33:32)
But if you join it, you'll be able to see when we're going live.

and poke us from time to time? I don't know. Do what you want.

Speaker 3 (1:33:39)
Do so gently. No hard pokes.

Speaker 1 (1:33:41)
Hey, whatever you're into,

I don't judge.

Speaker 2 (1:33:44)
Gently but firmly.

Speaker 1 (1:33:45)
Make sure you have your safe words.

Speaker 2 (1:33:46)
If they added it, it's kind of weird that it's undercoded and they don't just have like one that says like funcom or something.

Speaker 3 (1:33:54)
Well, they got like, looks like Anarchy Online. got Metal Hellsinger, Secret World.

Going in, yeah. Right. Hide and shriek.

Speaker 2 (1:34:00)
Yeah.

Yeah, I feel like they should have just called it

Speaker 3 (1:34:05)
Funcom.

Speaker 2 (1:34:06)
I mean, the title says Funcom posters prints on metal.

maybe, did they change it? No. Maybe it is now it says Funcom. I thought it still said Conan, but.

Now when I go to it, it says, display slash license slash.

Speaker 3 (1:34:21)
You

can go through the collections. They separated out different collections.

Speaker 2 (1:34:26)
okay.

It did used to be just Conan with a bunch of other stuff.

Speaker 1 (1:34:30)
Secret world is now under various nice, okay

Speaker 3 (1:34:34)
Along with like, hide and shriek.

Speaker 1 (1:34:38)
Yeah. You know.

Speaker 3 (1:34:40)
As

as Ernie gets his own.

Speaker 2 (1:34:43)
Yeah, that's horse shit.

Speaker 3 (1:34:44)
You

Speaker 1 (1:34:45)
Be like sure, longest journey is cool, I get it, but... ...does it need its own? What does longest journey have? Four? It has four plates? There's more plates in Secret World than that.

Speaker 2 (1:34:56)
I think Secret World has three, doesn't it?

Speaker 3 (1:34:58)
NOSCA 4.

Speaker 1 (1:34:59)
1,

2, 3, no that's 4. I mean if you count hide and seek maybe 5. Maybe. Yes.

Speaker 2 (1:35:06)
Are you counting the chipmunk?

Speaker 3 (1:35:09)
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:35:10)
That's why you're wrong. It's three. It's three, the park and hide and seek.

Speaker 1 (1:35:15)
Yeah, but I'm combining it all into the Secret World overall universe.

Speaker 2 (1:35:19)
Yeah, but that's what I'm saying, that's why they put it in various, because Secret World technically only has three.

Speaker 1 (1:35:25)
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (1:35:25)
Longer Straddy's got four.

Speaker 2 (1:35:28)
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (1:35:30)
even though those are also all different longest journey games.

Speaker 2 (1:35:33)
But I mean, they did fix it, Vomr. Like, it, it, now, at least, at least on one of the pages, it doesn't say all of Bicone Exiles. On one of the pages, it correctly says Funcom.

There are other parts where it still looks like it's under Conan Exile.

Speaker 1 (1:35:47)
Where's the tentacled kitty? I'll bring it out. I know what you mean, though. Yeah. Nermagul.

Speaker 3 (1:35:57)
Yeah, if you look at the top part, it says Conan Exiles.

and the tab itself.

Speaker 2 (1:36:05)
Yeah, but like they've changed the thing to be Funcom, so I don't know.

Speaker 1 (1:36:10)
Maybe they're waiting for us to criticize it first.

Speaker 2 (1:36:13)
feel like they're in this, I feel like they set it up and they tried to migrate it but maybe this plate doesn't let you like fully change it. Starting over or something.

Speaker 1 (1:36:21)
Yeah, probably.

Speaker 2 (1:36:24)
But what I'm saying, Vomr, is like, if you look at the address, right, it doesn't say, like, license slash Conan. The directory says, display slash license slash Funcom. And then when you go to that artworks part, it's Funcom posters prints on metal, not like Conan Exile prints on metal. So like, depending on the angle of the shop you view it in, it does seem like it's Funcom umbrella, even though the title is Conan Exiles.

Yeah, exactly. No, I get it. It feels like they tried to adjust or like pivot, but they haven't been able to fully convert. I'm guessing part of that might just be you're like locked in to like what you made the shop at in the first place.

Speaker 1 (1:37:04)
It's

yeah.

Yeah.

Speaker 3 (1:37:06)
Yeah, we can add some more stuff to it that we actually own

Speaker 1 (1:37:09)
Probably more of a display, yeah,

Speaker 2 (1:37:12)
That's my guess.

Speaker 1 (1:37:14)
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (1:37:14)
Or even a kid is, Tony.

Speaker 1 (1:37:16)
What?

Speaker 3 (1:37:18)
You're a... the tentacle cat.

Speaker 1 (1:37:20)
That's a regular size.

Speaker 2 (1:37:21)
Is it?

Speaker 3 (1:37:22)
That was smaller.

Speaker 1 (1:37:23)
Jimmy, no me!

Speaker 3 (1:37:24)
It's... I don't...

Speaker 1 (1:37:26)
We'll do a size comparison. A Nürmergol size comparison.

Speaker 2 (1:37:27)
find it.

Mmmmm

Speaker 1 (1:37:31)
I don't think it generally changes the size of pets that I bring out.

Speaker 2 (1:37:34)
Well I have to find it, I have like 5 billion fucking pets.

Speaker 3 (1:37:37)
You

Speaker 2 (1:37:39)
And like, there it is, a stupid amount of cats. I think it's the same.

Speaker 1 (1:37:43)
That's the same size, yeah.

Speaker 3 (1:37:45)
It just seems smaller.

Speaker 1 (1:37:46)
only because you're so large.

Speaker 3 (1:37:48)
Yeah, that's just...

Speaker 2 (1:37:49)
That's like three and half pages of cat.

I have three and a half pages of pets, so I'm still missing some.

Speaker 3 (1:37:57)
is mine.

Speaker 1 (1:37:58)
About two and a half.

Speaker 2 (1:37:59)
But like the civilian drone costs a thousand orin for some stupid reason.

Speaker 1 (1:38:03)
Let's see, so we do have, there's some more news, not much more. It's basically Conan Exiles and the Tabletop. Conan Exiles had a new update March 25th for lots of quality of life improvements. They made adjustments to stamina, exhaustion, and the addition of a compass.

Speaker 3 (1:38:19)
Ooh.

Speaker 1 (1:38:19)
lots of other quality of life changes. made basically like a, almost like a Conan Exiles rebalance. Basically they, threw a lot into basically updating Conan Exiles to last more perpetually as most of their work effort from here on forward is going to mostly be Dune. there we go. We got four kitties out. Look at them kitties. Just being kitties.

Also, there's currently a Conan Exiles Twitch drop campaign going on. From March 25th to April 9th, it's already done. You could gotten the Blood Crystal Katana. From April 16th, currently going on, to April 30th, you can get the White Rabbit.

We need a survival game called Secret World Exiles? I'd play it.

Speaker 2 (1:39:01)
Your exiles secret exile

Speaker 1 (1:39:04)
in

the

And then from May 7th to May 21st, it's going to be five Watcher Furniture Items.

Whatever that is, I guess we'll find out.

Yeah, farmers right. It's basically the Arctic hare pet, basically ported to Conan Exiles, which is fine. The thing about the Arctic hare, or the thing about the white rabbit pet is that it's not like only around during this time of year. Like you can just go exploring through the lands and you'll find them around.

Speaker 2 (1:39:33)
How dare you,

How dare you slander?

graphic twist drop.

Speaker 1 (1:39:37)
Well can still get it, I'm not saying you can't.

Cause thinking about code and exiles is right. You can just basically go around the world and be like, Hey, there's a small animal, yoink, and just pick it up and keep it.

Speaker 2 (1:39:46)
the right coming in into secret world and then from secret world into into exiles it's the great circle of lore

Speaker 1 (1:39:57)
and reusable asset.

That's why, yeah, I don't get when people are like, you know, my gosh, they reuse the assets. Like, who cares?

Speaker 2 (1:40:04)
From soft is like the fucking master that shit, but like The thing is that shouldn't be a problem. Like it's also reasoning asset. Here's my biggest problem people use the term asset flip That is incorrect Reasoning an asset is not the same as an asset flip game Right asset game is literally like you took a bunch of assets Flip them into this fucking box and say hey buy this like it's shit

An asset flip game is bad, but just because you used a bunch of old assets to make an amazing good game does not make it an asset flip game. Like, there's a distinct difference between the two.

Speaker 1 (1:40:48)
Especially when you created most of those assets yourself. You know? Right.

Speaker 2 (1:40:52)
Because

asset flip is usually like you bought a bunch of shit off like the unreal 3d store and like Cobbled it all together with some duct tape and fishing wire and said look at my game like that's

Speaker 1 (1:41:02)
Yeah. Yeah,

right, Vommer. Yeah. Yeah, these are them reusing their own assets, right.

Speaker 2 (1:41:09)
Which people still call like, I've seen it the most recently with FromSoft. Because you you can look at like, if you really look, can look at Elden Ring and see if that's like the boss from Dark Souls 1.

Speaker 3 (1:41:19)
They're gross.

Speaker 1 (1:41:22)
gosh.

Speaker 3 (1:41:23)
He...

Speaker 2 (1:41:23)
Did your cat get bigger?

Speaker 1 (1:41:25)
did. There's a problem with our cats and that is that I think that...

when when they go through the portal they come back normal size anyway

Speaker 2 (1:41:33)
rescales. You can't write-

Speaker 1 (1:41:36)
that's a right

up notes note that yet yet okay know it is

Speaker 2 (1:41:40)
I actually, Scooter, I write ass and then I write ets. Boom, problem solved.

Speaker 3 (1:41:46)
Thank

Speaker 2 (1:41:47)
Also, might, I might be watching an exile stream on the other computer now just to get my rabbit drop.

Speaker 1 (1:41:50)
disappear.

Actually, you want to know the trick? This is going to sound bad. You want to the trick? So Twitch, in order to be counted as a viewer in Twitch, you have to either have the stream up and active, like have the tab up and active, and you can still mute it, but the tab has to be active, or have the tab not active, but the audio is still playing. So.

So the way around that, that I found...

Speaker 2 (1:42:27)
is you mute your speakers.

Speaker 1 (1:42:29)
Well, you either mute your speakers, you can mute the site through Chrome, can mute like everything, or you can just drop the volume down to 1 % and then you don't really hear it anyway.

Speaker 2 (1:42:42)
I need all the rabbits, All the rabbits.

Speaker 1 (1:42:45)
I should get the...

Speaker 2 (1:42:46)
I mean that's the sole reason I rebooted New World like what a year two ago was I was like there's a bunny head for Easter let me go hunt bunnies for like two days

Speaker 1 (1:42:56)
I was going to say, I thought I saw they they have, they brought that back for this year.

Speaker 2 (1:43:01)
Scooter.

This is where you get the secret world drops.

You know, that don't exist.

Speaker 3 (1:43:06)
Didn't we have drops like a year or two ago?

Speaker 1 (1:43:08)
you try that with a tap that goes inactive after a while if there's no audio and stops counting that might be a setting in chrome there's a setting in chrome that says

Speaker 2 (1:43:17)
Great

farmer.

Speaker 1 (1:43:18)
let find...

Speaker 2 (1:43:19)
I play Warframe again.

Speaker 3 (1:43:21)
Thank

Speaker 2 (1:43:22)
Warframe bunny ears. Now it's on my to-do list. God damn it.

Speaker 1 (1:43:27)
I do believe that is a... Yes, I think it's called... It's under Settings, Performance, Memory. And it says, Memory Saver, Chrome frees up memory from inactive tabs. This gives active tabs and other apps more computer resources and keeps Chrome fast. Your inactive tabs automatically become active again when you go back to them.

Speaker 2 (1:43:48)
rabbit head. God damn it.

Speaker 1 (1:43:50)
So if you turn that off, if you turn off the memory saver, it won't do that.

Speaker 2 (1:43:55)
I own Fallout 76 as well, so I just...

Speaker 1 (1:43:57)
There's also a rabbit head to be had. What was I talking There's a rabbit helmet in Division 2, but it's not really a rabbit. It's sort of just like a regular helmet, but there's two flaps sticking up.

Speaker 2 (1:44:09)
Yeah, that doesn't count. I also don't own division 2 but I own I I have warframe and I own fallout 76

Speaker 1 (1:44:15)
Your 600 tabs will implode when you turn that off. It's fair.

Speaker 2 (1:44:19)
Dude, why do you have 600 tabs? Jesus Christ.

Speaker 1 (1:44:23)
That's why I said I got it for you. You don't have to get it yourself. I got it for you. And I also have a screenshot of it. Let me find that.

Speaker 2 (1:44:31)
the worst AD level.

It might be a day too late to get the eggs to arrive ahead and fall 76. You know what, that's fine. I don't have install it then.

I'm not mad. You already missed it? That's fine.

Speaker 1 (1:44:39)
Makes a choice easy.

Speaker 2 (1:44:41)
I do actually want to play 76 at some point. I got it like way early and it was in that like kind of the campaign was kind of shit. I know that

Speaker 1 (1:44:49)
Yeah. But

by now, it should be pretty good.

Speaker 2 (1:44:52)
Yeah, they read it a lot, I haven't played in front

Speaker 3 (1:44:55)
Yeah, you can also play as a ghoul now too.

Speaker 2 (1:44:58)
Well, I got the rabbit ears in Warframe, right? And then that was back when they would take them. I didn't know this at the time, but

Speaker 1 (1:45:05)
There you go, Jimmy.

Speaker 2 (1:45:07)
They took away your rabbit ears when the Easter event ended back when I got them and I was pissed and uninstalled the game and I haven't been back to Warframe since. But my understanding is now they're permanent. So I will go throw Warframe back on the PC and get me some permanent rabbit ears.

Speaker 1 (1:45:19)
George Kitty.

I want to try out frame. That's one of the ones on my list.

Speaker 2 (1:45:32)
I was playing it. I was playing Warframe and I got my ears and then they took them away and I said fuck you and I'm still okay.

Speaker 1 (1:45:40)
My problem is every time I watch someone play Warframe, it just doesn't look interesting.

Speaker 3 (1:45:45)
is so fast paced. This is like

Speaker 1 (1:45:48)
and in the they zoom in, like, way too close to the character

Speaker 2 (1:45:52)
You're watching people stream dungeon runs and shit though. Like if you were to play Warframe, you would probably enjoy it.

Speaker 1 (1:45:59)
Yeah, and that's what I think because I've heard a lot of good stuff in right there like the story is good and whatnot It's like you you actually might like it

Speaker 2 (1:46:06)
You also determine like your play style. Like you can play like guns. You can play like stashy, you know, sword dude. Like you don't have to like blink around like a goddamn crack head. But like if you're watching a streamer doing it, that's probably what they're doing.

Speaker 1 (1:46:25)
Like it just has that same problem that I think ESO has, and that is if you watch it, if you watch somebody streaming it, it does not look interesting. Like I would say ESO is not an interesting game to stream because like all the, all the text is already voiced for you and you're just going around just slapping things and everything is not exactly, you know, everything's sort of like on the same level and nothing is really that overly special. So it always, it always feels like it's so much more boring.

And right, whenever I watch Warframe, it's sort of like, they're just getting really fast, like flippy and going here and flippy and going there and it's like.

Yeah, this doesn't

Speaker 2 (1:47:03)
Some

games are more fun to play than watch. sometimes they are fun to watch if you've played them because then it means something different to you. That is also a thing.

Speaker 1 (1:47:12)
Yeah.

And that might be more what Warframe is.

Speaker 2 (1:47:18)
2300 hours in swl Yeah, I broke seven hours I broke 17k this a while back So right now i'm only updating the number every time I break another thousand That's when it's

Speaker 1 (1:47:30)
I am I am almost up to in my own tallying. What am I up to? Like 400 days played. I keep track of more. No, 300. 300. But like, you know.

Speaker 2 (1:47:46)
17,000 hours I had not seen doppelgangers get their clothes blown off until last Always always something nudist to discover in secret world

Speaker 1 (1:47:51)
No, that's- that's-

The doppelganger spawn naked. It's a good kitty.

It's a good kitty.

Speaker 2 (1:48:02)
All right, so that 17K is including TSW hours, Because steam, them as the same thing. So that includes TSW. But then it also includes the manually added, like, non-steam accounts, right? So I have, a spreadsheet for, like, what my actual hours are. Because steam is only tracking steam.

Speaker 1 (1:48:30)
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:48:32)
But by the way, even Steam is 15k by itself. So if you go look on Steam, I show 15k played. I've got 2k more than that in non-Steam accounts.

Speaker 3 (1:48:48)
I got 24.

Speaker 2 (1:48:48)
can

do slash played, but you would have to do it on all your characters if you have multiple characters. Yeah. So I have to do it on all my characters and all my accounts.

Speaker 3 (1:48:57)
Like on this character I have 24 days.

Speaker 1 (1:48:59)
I'm up to 39 days.

Speaker 2 (1:49:01)
On this character Jesus Christ dude well on this character. I have okay because I have the mod that shows your care

Speaker 1 (1:49:07)
953.

Speaker 2 (1:49:10)
Right? So I can see right now my playtime on Jimmy alone is $5975 on just this character.

Speaker 1 (1:49:20)
Yep.

Speaker 2 (1:49:20)
That's

just Jimmy. That's not like all the challenge runs, right? That's literally just Jimmy. And just Jimmy in SWL.

Speaker 3 (1:49:22)
I'm

Speaker 2 (1:49:30)
So if I go slash played, what does it say? It says 248 days, 23 hours, 43 minutes.

Speaker 1 (1:49:38)
see that was my when I when I created my spreadsheet that was like my like I had to think about how I should

I need to spread you to follow my playtime as a phrase I'm sure your wife loves.

Uh, sure. Um, I highly suggest it though. Use spreadsheets. It's great. Um, but yeah, like I had to think about like what I consider vet, like valuable playing time. Like, like we're here now, Jimmy, you're not necessarily included in this because I know you're basically like you.

Speaker 2 (1:50:09)
I did my faction missions while we were doing this.

Speaker 1 (1:50:11)
Exactly, yes. You actually make it productive. and waffle don't necessarily make it productive.

Speaker 2 (1:50:16)
I can't build this long without doing something in the game. Right.

Speaker 3 (1:50:16)
No, we're productive.

Speaker 1 (1:50:21)
But like just hanging around a Gartha, I don't consider a played. Like I don't consider you necessarily playing the game, you know. I'm not making any progress. I'm not, you know. So that's why I just considered instead of hours, I do nights. I basically do like, you know, if I play the game during a day, then I could, you know, and I actually made progress. I consider that an active play day.

Speaker 2 (1:50:44)
Gotcha.

Speaker 1 (1:50:45)
And so I'm up to, yeah, almost 300 for Secret World. But of course, I've actually been in game actual days a lot longer than that.

300 nights to get here.

But if you want, like this is the one I always follow, armored scooter, said you had 2300 hours. A full time job, 40 hours a week for a full year is about 2000 hours.

if you want to put that time into perspective.

Speaker 2 (1:51:18)
sleep a lot is all I'm gonna say.

Speaker 3 (1:51:19)
You

Speaker 2 (1:51:21)
So actually, I started the spreadsheet, like I have two spreadsheets actually. I have the one for the hours and I have one for the accounts because I have to track them for the anniversary logins. I have to track them so I don't forget like their names. Because I have...

Speaker 1 (1:51:38)
Yeah, it's gonna be hard to remember all that.

Speaker 2 (1:51:41)
Hold on.

I have twelve Oncom accounts? Plus this team account.

So I have to keep track of all the different accounts and all the different characters on all those accounts.

I think I have 28 characters now.

Speaker 1 (1:51:54)
Nice.

Speaker 2 (1:51:55)
Which means anniversary logins are gonna suck ass this year.

Speaker 1 (1:51:58)
As I don't you do something like you log into like a lot of them.

Speaker 2 (1:52:04)
Only really do that like for the anniversary so can get the epic keys to do giveaways with Right Like that's that's why I do I don't even do that for me like I do that just so that I can like Run a giveaway and like give away all the epic key contents right But I swear to God it takes like in like an hour and a half to log in all the characters with every day stupid

Speaker 1 (1:52:22)
Right.

with a different name and different password and different... yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:52:33)
I mean it's just it takes a few minutes for the game to load right like it has to launch does the patcher thing right like Verify RDB or whatever shit You load it you log in claim exit. It's got a load into a Gartha right you got at least one loading screen

I think the raffle went pretty good last year, if I remember. think FutureTech Cash was the pick of the...

Speaker 1 (1:52:54)
We always said that that's why they brought back the future tech cash.

They're like, everyone wants a future TechCash? What was the last time we had that? It's like... Never? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (1:53:01)
Never.

I think it was one time, I'm pretty sure, prior to that.

Speaker 1 (1:53:07)
You're like, Ocho's just a maniac for hoarding lock boxes.

Speaker 2 (1:53:11)
for so many years.

Haha, synced wave, let's go.

Speaker 1 (1:53:15)
But yeah, is the big kitty.

Speaker 2 (1:53:20)
Bigger than you, at least.

Speaker 1 (1:53:21)
It is.

got a nice picture of me praying to it.

What's the one called where you get down on your knees and pray?

Speaker 2 (1:53:26)
Is it not worship?

Speaker 1 (1:53:28)
Visit worship.

Speaker 2 (1:53:29)
Yeah, it's worship.

Speaker 1 (1:53:30)
I'm looking through the emotes, but it might not be there.

Speaker 2 (1:53:32)
Steam players counted while the client is running to go in game challenge when you have the active playing time without loading screen. okay.

Playtime is 30 % less than playwriting time. I can believe that.

I don't so I think I think steam might count the client running your in-game played obviously in secret world is to your actual like in-game time place to have people give me shit about that be like, well Your your launcher being active or whatever like I don't fucking launch the launcher unless I'm playing the game the launcher accounts for like I Don't know 20 30 seconds whenever I actually launched the game or something

Speaker 1 (1:54:09)
Right, it's negligible.

Speaker 2 (1:54:11)
And I'm not... Like, this is the most I hang out in Agartha, and I have left, like, three times. I'm not a hangout in Agartha person.

Speaker 1 (1:54:17)
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (1:54:18)
You

Speaker 2 (1:54:20)
We are.

I'm not. Well technically I could be playing. I could play Tetris right now. Because I have the Tetris mod installed.

Actually, you should install that, Waffle. So you can play Tetris or Gridris while you're... while we're still in the stream.

You've seen that, right?

Speaker 3 (1:54:37)
Didn't you have it? No. Yeah, you did. With your inventory.

Speaker 2 (1:54:43)
Yeah, it's a mod that Fox did, like you make a new inventory window, because you have the mod installed, you make a new inventory window and you title it Gridris, and it turns into like a Tetris inventory game. Or if you title it, I think Aegis, it turns into like a Candy Crush kind of game.

Speaker 1 (1:54:59)
Did we use falling in rabbits?

Speaker 2 (1:55:00)
I don't know what that means.

Speaker 1 (1:55:02)
Yeah, do to do I.

Speaker 2 (1:55:03)
I don't know what this

Speaker 1 (1:55:04)
But yeah, that's why it really depends. Like that's why I sort of personally switched to a active time or active count instead of a hourly count because it's not always accurate. It's, I don't know. But I keep my own.

Speaker 2 (1:55:21)
it's not in the Gresham notes. Dude, I do miss that Kaiden teleport that was like the black hole that opened underneath you.

The Lorenzian Fabricator Portal. That was a cool effect.

Speaker 1 (1:55:33)
and it's also a possible potential source of income.

Just FYI. are, I've seen this now in like ESO and I've seen it in... Does Guild Wars 2 have one? I'm not sure. But an individualized animation for teleporting.

Speaker 2 (1:55:51)
gotcha.

Speaker 1 (1:55:51)
Like when you teleport instead of always having the same animation, can customize that and have another animation for

Speaker 2 (1:55:57)
Holy crap, I'm teleporting!

Speaker 1 (1:55:59)
There you go.

Speaker 2 (1:56:01)
Nice. Oh, was cool, man. That was really cool. You know, it's really you know, it's really great about that, though, like I legitimately have the that item in my bank. I have the Lorenzian fabricator.

Speaker 1 (1:56:03)
He's a

And he's back.

Speaker 2 (1:56:19)
It used to drop in the Kaiden layer when it first came out in Legends. Can I? I don't know if I can, I can probably link it in slash say I think.

I literally have the item.

Speaker 1 (1:56:28)
Noice.

Speaker 2 (1:56:29)
Lorenz

and Fabricator V2.

I only have the base bank space, but I have kept that fabricator the entire game. It doesn't do anything, but I love it.

Speaker 1 (1:56:44)
It's like, it's like holding on to like one bank note or something.

Speaker 2 (1:56:47)
I mean, except that it's way more rare. don't know how many people got it in the lair back then, or if they did, how many people bothered to hang on to it.

I genuinely don't know, it can't be a lot. It wasn't a- it wasn't raining fabricators. was like a weird random bug.

Speaker 3 (1:57:04)
Katers

Speaker 1 (1:57:06)
Hallelujah.

Speaker 2 (1:57:07)
That was really cool though. Thanks. I like seeing that teleport animation again.

Speaker 1 (1:57:13)
And welcome! Welcome to whoever is making our cats big and giving us special animations. Welcome. Hope you're doing well.

Speaker 2 (1:57:21)
Vomr says I never got one of the briefly in S.A. Bill Lorenzian, so envious. Yeah, like saying, Vomr who collects everything and has inventory, whose inventory is like negative all the time, doesn't have one, like they didn't drop often.

And they fixed it. I think fairly quickly.

Speaker 1 (1:57:42)
Fixing it so that no one could have it.

I have uniquely bugged t-shirt in my inventory even.

Speaker 2 (1:57:48)
and don't have larynx.

Actually, I used that pic that I got a picture of my character in TSW like in Kaiden, I think on the island in the south, like doing the teleport. And that was my, it might still be on Twitch actually. I think it might be one of my little banners on Twitch or something. Because it's me like falling into the rabbit hole because it literally drops you in. I got a picture.

like a screencap of like halfway me like falling into it.

I'm pretty sure it's on one of my panels still, but like the thing is no one can really see your panels anymore. I mean they can, but it's like a pain in the ass. So I think most people don't. You have to go to like manually click the about section or something.

Speaker 1 (1:58:33)
of your panels of like your.

Speaker 2 (1:58:34)
Oh, you know what? I changed it. I changed it, I think. To make it fit the square.

Speaker 1 (1:58:36)
Night.

Speaker 2 (1:58:42)
It's from the original picture, but you can't see the original portal anymore.

That's a bummer.

Speaker 1 (1:58:48)
Boozoo. Boozoo. What other news do we have? All right, we did Conan Exiles. the last one's a tabletop. Tabletop, secret world for Savage Worlds is now on Fantasy Grounds, which is a powerful virtual tabletop. You can pick up that for $20.

be able to play virtually. And Starbreaker Star Marines by Star Anvil Studios Kickstarter is still ongoing. Just thought I'd mention them anyway, because they've been doing all the secret world stuff. So why not say anything else they have? They're up to $6,000 so far during the Kickstarter, which it's fully funded because their funding goal for that was only a thousand. So

Speaker 2 (1:59:31)
Nice.

Speaker 1 (1:59:32)
So they fully funded that. It is a setting supplement for Starbreaker RPG using Savage World.

So if you're interested in anything else that Star Anvil is doing, we do appreciate what Star Anvil does. So why not give them a little extra, even if it's not Secret World related.

But they weren't looking for much, maybe because it's a supplement for this one. They weren't looking for a thousand. And they got six thousand.

So awesome. In my own personal news, I have been trying to get more into my local tabletop RPG scene, which is surprisingly robust considering.

Like I found that a local church near me hosts a convention every year, like a tabletop convention. And they basically have all these tables set up where you can just come and be a part of these like random games of all different types. You could play like, you know, one was like Star Trek and there's others for Star Wars. And then there's other for

regular like D &D and then there's other ones for

Like Call of Cthulhu,

So they had like all these different like one shots being done all across the room and like multiple floors and lots of games going on simultaneously. And I was like, if I'm my goal, my goal here is to basically immerse myself with enough like real tabletop play to be able to DM secret world myself is basically what my goal is. So I've been jumping into

Right, I've been jumping into my local tabletop scene in order to make that.

And yeah, surprisingly robust. Like I was like, I didn't even know this was here. This is like two blocks from my house.

Speaker 2 (2:01:15)
you

Speaker 1 (2:01:15)
We all want more secret world content to continue the story and we'll never get that. Yeah, so it goes. My theory is that basically it could happen in the future, but if it does happen in the future, it won't be necessarily in secret world itself. It won't be necessarily in this game. It'll be in other games.

It'll be in like Secret World 2 or something.

Secret World, Next Generation.

That's my guess anyway.

the other secret world.

I missed tabletop. haven't done it in about 30 years. I mean, it was fun considering that I didn't know like anything about tabletop, you know? Or I know very little about tabletop. I'm not gonna say nothing. I know very little. But I ran like, yeah, Star Trek one. I was in like a Call of Cthulhu one. And what was the third one?

I forget they got a couple of

It's like futuristic, it's like cyberpunk. I forget, I forget what it is. But each one had a different system too. So like the Star Trek one had this system where you had to roll low, like was a good thing. The cyberpunk one had a system where you had to roll like 12 six-siders at the same time or like 20 six-siders at the same time. And it's like,

However many were like five or six were considered your successes. And I was like, this is insane. I was like, this style is insane. It's like, so I like, all right, you need to do this. And you just hear it's like, just like an explosion of dice.

It's like, hold on, let me roll all the six-siders.

added one adventure where the team fought a literal night terror. The only way they could actually interact with the monster to fight it was to fail will saves and get terrified. Interesting.

But I was basically like, the more different GM styles I saw and the more different whatever I saw that, you just the more experience I get and it's all, it's all gonna, it's all gonna lead to.

me feeling like I have enough behind me to do a secret world tabletop and DM it myself.

Speaker 2 (2:03:05)
Thanks for a knock.

Speaker 1 (2:03:06)
And but I kind of want to like, I kind of want to like, kind of test out Secret World with like these people who have like never heard of Secret World before, you know, I want to kind of want to test it out with them. And be like, you know, so to have the surprising stuff like, like, when you die, what happens when you die, you know, like, have the have that be more of a surprise than to I don't know, I don't know how to see that. I think it'd be interesting.

Right, and then get your new tabletop players to play Secret World. Yes.

they're like, is that what this is? And be like, well, the game's still around. You could play it, you know, you could play through it solo. It doesn't have to be, you know, you don't have to play it like a like an MMO. You could play it like a single player. If that is your choice.

play solo all the time, well he plays basically like a single player all the time, the dungeons you go through.

You should stream your tabletop RPG Secret World games. See, I'm not at that point yet. I wouldn't mind getting to that point eventually. But I'm not at that point yet.

If thing the problem with the development of Secret World is that they keep trying to do original missions and at some point they just run out of ideas.

don't even know if that's the case.

Speaker 2 (2:04:06)
I don't think so. I don't think they ran out of ideas. They had plenty of- they had a whole book. They had plenty of-

Speaker 1 (2:04:12)
does

have some of the most imaginative ideas.

I don't think they necessarily run out of ideas because even the missions that they have, it's sort of like they combined different styles. So like one part will be go out and kill these things. The next part will be deliver this to whatever. The next part will be whatever. And they, match that all part of one mission. So you'll do like multiple MMO type stuff, you know, kill, collect.

Delivered like there's only so many of that you can do

without needing to program a whole bunch of new stuff into it, basically.

But, so I don't think they necessarily ran out of ideas. It's just that the ideas become expensive after a while.

Like we want to do this, which would entail, you know, creating this whole new UI for blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And it's just like, yeah, that's, that's a lot.

You do a trial run for the next zero point report just as seen between you guys. I think that will happen eventually if you two are also interested.

Speaker 2 (2:05:08)
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (2:05:08)
say my, I know Vomir was asking like, well, we're going to do for like the anniversary. it's like, the anniversary might be a cool time to try that out, to have like a secret world tabletop sort of stream where we even like, maybe, maybe do the, like some of the already preplanned adventures that they have, the modules that they already have.

But again, I feel like that would need a little more time. Just a little more time. me more time, man. Give me more time.

Speaker 3 (2:05:33)
You

Speaker 2 (2:05:36)
quote is, give me some time. It's from hackers.

Speaker 1 (2:05:40)
If you two are also interested, big silence, crickets.

Speaker 2 (2:05:43)
Listen, okay, I literally have two Secret World clients running right now.

Speaker 1 (2:05:47)
I was

gonna say, I feel like we're in... It might be just that time anyway.

Speaker 2 (2:05:51)
I was literally, I literally had the other client open. I saw some shit on the auction house, was like, shit, zero point pet needs that. So I loaded the other client, logged in and bought it on that client.

Someone had a... Like a radiant egon. Not a radiant egon, sorry. Radiant seed of aggression for like 400 marks or something. was like, ooh, a piece of candy.

Speaker 1 (2:06:17)
Yeah, that's not bad.

Speaker 2 (2:06:19)
It's not an Egon pendant, but like, it's for that character, you know what mean? And then there was the, um... There was like a Ring of the Hollow tree for like, 5k or something?

I was like, ooh, another pizza can. It's like, I'm shopping.

Speaker 1 (2:06:35)
But yes, Vomr, if we do this, I would absolutely invite you in as well.

Giant kitty! Kitty more giant.

Who's a big kitty? Who's a big kitty?

Not to be kidding. But everything's big compared to me. So yeah, if that's all, I think we're good. Do you guys have anything else?

Speaker 2 (2:06:51)
No, I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (2:06:54)
now.

We pretty much went over everything I think.

I finally got a charisma agent equipment from the exchange for my main nice.

Speaker 2 (2:07:02)
Yeah, you know, I'm still still working on ideas for the next run because zero point Pat's not going to take a whole lot longer honestly. Like I just finished Akinaut, I'm in Transylvania and you know Transylvania is like a goddamn slingshot, right?

Speaker 1 (2:07:12)
Yeah.

Yeah.

Mm-hmm. Doesn't take long with your Transmania.

Speaker 2 (2:07:25)
The story like levels you up to 50 really fast and then and then transphobia has like no required emissions whatsoever So you just blast off? Like the longest part is just looping back through it the second time Yeah, even that the longest parts only the first defense way part the rest of that shit goes fast as fuck and then before you know it You know, you're in Tokyo

Speaker 1 (2:07:46)
You're in Tokyo. Yeah. I always thought that like even in TSW, it was like them the amount of like normal missions they had that weren't like the nightmare. It was like, I tried to do like all the regular ones first before I the nightmare. And it was just like, just

Speaker 2 (2:07:59)
The thing about it

was like they were waiting for Tokyo for like a couple of years, right? So like people did everything in Transylvania. But if you're a new player, like it doesn't there's no big incentive to like do all that stuff. And it's kind of worse in Legends in that regard because the other zones got much more like integration and polish in the lead up to the relaunch.

and Transmine being the last set of maps got the least, like they ran out of time basically. We got the least rework. So like, the biggest, by the way, the single biggest drawback is when you reach that part in Venice where you run into What's-Her-Face and that big red screen where she recognizes you and you recognize her.

Speaker 1 (2:08:46)
Lydia, yeah.

Speaker 2 (2:08:46)
Yeah, you don't have to do any permissions to progress to Tokyo. Or to Venice. So there's lots of Legends players get to that and have no fucking idea what that cinematic means. Like at all.

Speaker 1 (2:09:00)
Yeah, they're like, who is that? Yeah.

Speaker 2 (2:09:02)
They literally needed to make the Lydia. Lydia only has two missions. They needed to integrate those into the playthrough for Carpathian Things. As part of the story, should have been like, must do selected memories or something. Or the one where you fight her with the helicopter explosion at the end. One of her two missions needed to be mandatory for that fucking scene to make sense.

Speaker 1 (2:09:28)
True, is a big male. Yeah, it's a bit of a, what do call it? Not a loophole. It's sort of a plot hole, I guess.

Speaker 2 (2:09:30)
Honestly

Yeah, it's a gap. It's a gap that would have been that hard to fix realistically. You know, you just have to hook the mission into the chain.

Speaker 1 (2:09:45)
That's what you know my old policy, Tokyo.

Speaker 2 (2:09:47)
Once you hit, once you hit deceased farmland, you can pretty much fucking not do anything except the snoring.

I you might have to do like one or two missions, but depending on your level when you got there. So you hit like the last level gate, but it's not much. And you probably already over level it honestly.

But yeah. So yeah, expect I'll finish Zero Point Pat like next week. And then I gotta figure out what I'm doing next.

Speaker 1 (2:10:09)
Okay.

Always doing something.

Speaker 2 (2:10:16)
I, well I, you know, I gotta stay busy.

Speaker 1 (2:10:19)
Listen, it's awesome.

Speaker 2 (2:10:21)
I'll say bye.

Speaker 1 (2:10:22)
I really like the stuff that you do, I do.

Speaker 2 (2:10:24)
I'm baiting on like I'm up two mines. I try and come up with something new or there's also some other runs I could go back and finish. Like I've done any percent runs and I could go back in like 100 % right? Like no Verds. I think no Verds was a...

Speaker 1 (2:10:41)
true.

No words.

Speaker 2 (2:10:47)
the

game was removed that that wasn't any percent but I could go back and finish like I could hundred percent no words for example

Speaker 1 (2:10:56)
I usually take six months in between story choices. Listen, that's about my own sort of timeframe, so I get it.

Speaker 2 (2:11:05)
What was the last one I- wait, didn't I do- didn't I do Pipboy, Pacifist, and now Pat? They're all P's. But Pipboy wasn't that long ago!

Speaker 1 (2:11:13)
They're all peas.

No. Was that,

Speaker 2 (2:11:20)
February or something?

Speaker 1 (2:11:22)
February 18th is when you started pitbullying.

Speaker 2 (2:11:25)
Yeah, I'm about to finish the third challenge run in like three months.

Speaker 1 (2:11:30)
fact that I had the exact date for that. That was just in our show notes though. That was easy.

Speaker 2 (2:11:36)
Yeah,

because they've been any percent. haven't been 100 % runs. When I do challenge runs, they're 100 % obviously. They take longer, right? Because you've got to do all the missions.

So I like I've been debating about going back to one of the one of the older ones and like actually finishing it out You know, that's what I do with the guitar playthrough, right? My playthrough on guitar just at any percent and then at some point later I went back and Finished it all out on guitar. So I there's precedent for me doing that

but I don't know I also might find a weird new idea and decide to do that maybe I can I can at Hong Kong to let me keep a set of white weapons

Speaker 1 (2:12:06)
You are quite a bad-

AHHHH! Someone just sat on me.

Speaker 3 (2:12:14)
I'm

Speaker 2 (2:12:16)
If anyone's listening...

I would love to do an actual ephemeral run with just white weapons. That would be...

Speaker 1 (2:12:21)
to somehow get Jimmy the white weapons that are in the introduction.

Speaker 2 (2:12:27)
Yeah, they have to spawn them on you, like, post the intro.

Speaker 1 (2:12:30)
Yeah. And somehow make them...

Speaker 2 (2:12:32)
I would do that. I could get that on a character, that would be the next thing I would do for sure.

Speaker 1 (2:12:39)
Are they bound?

Speaker 2 (2:12:40)
If you equip them, yeah.

But the problem is, when you leave the tutorial, it wipes them from your inventory. Or from your character altogether. No matter where you decide to stash them.

Speaker 1 (2:12:45)
Yeah.

I was like, because if they weren't bound, then like...

Speaker 2 (2:12:53)
Well, they're equipped.

Speaker 1 (2:12:55)
They could spawn them on you, whatever.

Yeah.

Speaker 2 (2:12:58)
And as soon as you equip them, they're bound.

Speaker 1 (2:12:59)
that'd be a lot more work

Speaker 2 (2:13:02)
But I know they can be spawned, but I have a set on ephemeral. I got spawned on me in Tokyo.

So, yeah. I don't know. I don't know if that'll happen, but that would be cool if that happened.

Speaker 1 (2:13:15)
If somebody is listening.

Speaker 3 (2:13:17)
What is that?

Speaker 1 (2:13:18)
Could be just an idea. Just an idea. Yeah. For the future.

Speaker 2 (2:13:22)
I think I would have to do it with no gear though too. I think it would be like one IP man just harder.

Speaker 1 (2:13:28)
Yeah. Yeah, because I mean, if you're just like, I'm just using the white weapons and then everything else is normal, you know, it wouldn't be that hard.

Speaker 2 (2:13:28)
You know?

Yeah, then it wouldn't be the same. think it would have to be like no gear at all, only white weapons.

my god, dude.

Speaker 1 (2:13:42)
no, did you hear that? no.

Speaker 2 (2:13:44)
Yep,

that was a mis-mute.

Speaker 1 (2:13:46)
Gah! Sorry. Sorry, I apologize. Am I okay? The fact that it took up to now for you to ask... means I've mostly been successful on my muting. That one was not.

Speaker 2 (2:13:49)
So juicy

No!

Not

Not only is he not okay, but he's also sick.

Speaker 1 (2:14:04)
Last night I had a temperature of like 103 and I had to get up early this morning for adulting and so...

Yeah, I'm on fumes, it's okay.

Speaker 2 (2:14:17)
It's the zero point pathogen.

Speaker 1 (2:14:19)
Yeah, no, if you heard everything I was doing...

But I guess, yeah, that time the mute didn't fully take. sorry.

Speaker 2 (2:14:25)
What made up for the time where you thought you unmuted and you didn't?

Speaker 1 (2:14:29)
That's true. That's true.

Speaker 2 (2:14:30)
Anyway, I just now saw your picture with the ears.

Speaker 1 (2:14:33)
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you see what I mean.

alright agents

Speaker 2 (2:14:39)
running

for adultery.

Speaker 3 (2:14:41)
What?

Speaker 1 (2:14:41)
What?

I get this warning for adultering? Yeah, don't tell my wife. Expose.
